Obama Inn has developed from here.
Original Text
This area has developed as a Terauchi town centered on Kosetsuji Temple of the Jodo Shinshu sect. Looking at Kosetsuji Temple, there is a precinct and a cathedral that is one or two times larger than other temples and shrines. Hideyoshi Toyotomi was also rested at this temple. The current building was built at the end of the Edo period.
Koshoji is a large temple in Obama-juku. It is called Obama Gobo in the Jodo Shinshu Honganji school (Honzan: Nishi Honganji). When I went to Obama-juku in November, I worshiped for the first time in a long time. The gate is closed, but you can enter from the side. Also, you can take a walk freely in the precincts. It is a temple with a prominent roof of the large main hall. There were no tourists, but several people were worshiping for the memorial service. It is a quiet temple.
Obama-juku town is originally 々 Terauchi Town, which developed mainly around the temples of this Jodo Shinshu sect, and it is a really magnificent temple, and the roof of the main hall is large in scale that can be seen from a distance. You can worship freely in the precincts, but you couldn't enter the main hall. It seems that there is a connection with the Kujo family, and in the Western-style building there was a family crest of the Kujo family of the wisteria.
I stopped by while taking a walk around Obama-juku. The front gate was closed as shown in the photo, so maybe I can't enter it? When I thought, there was an entrance on the other side of the area that was in contact with the adjacent elementary school. The premises are beautiful with a sense of liberation. When I stopped by, there was no one but myself and it was very quiet.

Linelights
Every year, the Gyoto Festival is held in 8 month. It's a temple that isn't usually open, but I was free to enter the precincts only on this day.

It is a well-maintained temple.
