Tianjin Trip: An 8-Hour In-Depth Experience! Departing from Weifang North on the high-speed train at 10:30, I arrived at Tianjin South Station. In these brief eight hours, I felt as though I had traversed through the historical river of Tianjin, experiencing the unique charm of this city. From the modern skyscrapers to the historic Ancient Culture Street, from the bustling commercial areas to the tranquil parks, the diversity of Tianjin left a deep impression on me. 1️⃣ I visited the Five Avenues and the Italian Style Street. The architectural styles of the Five Avenues are diverse, as if traveling back in time. The Italian Style Street, on the other hand, is filled with a rich European atmosphere, with various delicacies and shops that make one linger and forget to return. Here, I felt the unique charm of Tianjin and tasted the multiculturalism of the city. 2️⃣ Jinwan Plaza, where the buildings are full of European style, as if I were in a foreign land. The Haihe River cruise allowed me to appreciate the beautiful night view of Tianjin, with dazzling lights and pleasant scenery. 3️⃣ Taking photos at various spots, although I didn't enter the Porcelain House, the exterior was already stunning! Overall, this eight-hour trip to Tianjin was incredibly rewarding. I felt the unique charm of the city and tasted its multiculturalism. The cuisine, architecture, and culture of Tianjin are unforgettable, and I hope to have the opportunity to visit this beautiful city again in the future.

The story of Yu Ermei, the owner of the Porcelain Palace, tells us that it is never too late to realize your dreams. Yu Ermei's Porcelain Palace was inspired by a trip to Tianjin. After visiting the "Porcelain House" in Tianjin, she decided to build a "Porcelain House" in Jingdezhen at the age of 80. Because of her persistence, this seemingly "crazy" plan was quickly and persistently implemented. From renting land, designing, to building and decorating, she was personally involved in every step. Since its opening in 2015, it has become one of the landmark buildings in Jingdezhen. Yu Ermei is amazing, and so is her dream!

When I first arrived at the Porcelain House, I was deeply attracted by its appearance. The exterior walls of the building are wrapped in countless porcelain pieces, colorful. The porcelain pieces are of different shapes and ages, but they are combined into one. The pillars at the door are inlaid with exquisite porcelain plates, with rich patterns, landscapes, flowers and birds, characters, etc., like a miniature art scroll. Walking into the gate is like stepping into a porcelain dream world. Walking along the corridor, the porcelain pieces on the wall are layered on top of each other. The sun shines through the window on the porcelain pieces, the light and shadow are staggered, and the charming light is refracted. Upon careful observation, the color matching of the porcelain pieces is extremely clever, and the elegance of blue and white complements the gorgeousness of pastels. The porcelain bottles on the roof are uniquely shaped, standing or lying down, like loyal guards guarding this unique building. Entering the room, the interior decoration is even more breathtaking. The furniture is also covered with porcelain pieces, and the tables and chairs are particularly gorgeous under the decoration of porcelain pieces. The stair handrails are made of porcelain pieces, and each step is like a sedimentation of history. Looking up, there is a huge porcelain chandelier hanging on the ceiling. It fully displays the long-standing porcelain culture of China and deeply feels the unique charm of traditional culture. When leaving, I looked back frequently, and my heart was full of nostalgia and reluctance for this porcelain house.

Tianjin is one of my favorite places in China, with its unique architecture for historical reasons gives you the feeling that you are not in China but in a European city. Tianjin is also home for one of the famous architectural buildings in China built by ceramics in famously Spanish architecture Gaudi’s style called ‘China Home’, Tianjin is also great for one day trips from Beijing, experiencing a different city in China. Really happy to finally visited the place that I've been following on social media for long time. The name of this attraction is Porcelain House. The whole building was made of porcelain and marbles, dominated with orange and blue color at front side. So pretty and unique. Located in Heping District of Tianjin, it's open for public daily from 09.00 to 19.00 (peak season last entry is on 18.30 PM).
