Wontee no Hoi!
Original Text
It is said that the cry of janken, which was used mainly in the Tsuyama region until the early Showa period, is "Wanteka". It is said that it is a mysterious Mimasaka dialect that the origin of the word is not well understood. The author is Taoko Kuhara from Tsuyama City. A work has been donated to Tsuyama City by the bereaved family as a female sculptor. Among them, this statue of Wanteeka was placed in the park. 3 It seems that children are still trying to put out goochokipper.
A statue of three children playing rock-paper-paper
Original Text
In a corner of Yamashita Children's Park, which is located in the center of the city, there was a statue of three children playing rock-paper-paper. There was a "Wanteka" on the pedestal, and it was an old rock-paper-scissors word. Since there is a parking lot in front of the park, I was able to stop it from this side.
