Turin Egyptian Museum is amazing … seeing faces stare back from 4000 years ago. Egyptians made huge efforts to ensure their lives lived on beyond death. In these exhibits they do. Images of people and lives from thousands of years ago lead us to try and understand how they thought, how they lived. Arms wrapped around each other’s shoulders, their love lives on. Everyday objects, a bed, a side table, 4000 years old but preserved as if they were made yesterday. The array of objects and images is astonishing. Carved from hard volcanic rock, painted with mineral pigments, these objects and images still live like the day they were made. Kings and gods sit silently and stare through the years, unchanged.
Located in the center of Cairo, the Egyptian Museum is one of the world's most important collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts. As a historical and archaeological Attraction, the museum showcases the brilliant achievements of ancient Egyptian civilization and provides visitors with a great opportunity to explore the long heritage of human history.
The museum houses more than 120,000 artifacts, covering various stages from prehistoric times to the Greek and Roman periods. Eye-catching exhibits include treasures from the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, whose exquisite gold ornaments and funerary objects demonstrate the superb craftsmanship of ancient Egyptian crafts. In addition, the museum also has a large number of sarcophagi, statues and papyrus documents, providing valuable information for studying ancient Egyptian religion, politics and daily life.
Visitors can stroll through the various exhibition halls of the museum and admire the statues of pharaohs, exquisite murals and mysterious mummies. Each exhibit tells the story of ancient Egypt and reveals the religious beliefs, social structure and artistic achievements of this ancient civilization.

When you go to Turin, you must first go to the Piazza Castello on Via Garibaldi. There is a tourist center on the left side of the building facing the Royal Palace of Turin. You can buy a museum + bus card here. This card is very cost-effective. You can enter almost all museums in Turin (including the Egyptian Museum) for free, and take the bus and subway unlimited times. I suffered a loss when I first arrived. Yesterday, I bought a bus card at a tobacco shop (small convenience store) on the street. Before coming, I was afraid that it would be difficult to buy tickets for the Egyptian Museum on site, so I bought tickets for the Egyptian Museum online in advance for 18 euros. Yesterday, I spent 10 euros to visit three museums, and the net loss was at least 30 euros. But I am also open-minded. It is normal to spend money in a strange place. The purpose of travel is to be happy.
Summer vacation, the long-awaited trip to Egypt has gone up ~ Because of the time difference, one day is used for two days... The Egyptian Museum is really wonderful, the whole museum has no air conditioning, and many exhibits are bare, you can touch it casually, the African brothers are atmospheric enough ~
The ticket price is only 5 euros every Friday from 6:30 to 10:30 in August and September, so there are a lot of people and the queue took more than an hour. Larger bags need to be stored. The audio guide is free to try. Just tell the ticket seller when buying the ticket. There is a Chinese version. I won’t share my feelings about the visit, as everyone has different feelings and I don’t want to mislead you. It is truly the largest Egyptian Museum in the world!
The Egyptian Museum in Turin is very crowded. The statues and light and shadow effects in the King's Hall are super beautiful. Although the collection is second only to the Cairo Museum, the scale is still much smaller. The exhibits here are carefully displayed and lit, but in the Cairo Museum, they are piled up everywhere like cabbages without any care.
The Egyptian Museum is a place worth visiting repeatedly for people who live here for a long time, to cultivate their interest and increase their knowledge. There is a lot of content inside. We spent 3 hours reading half of the exhibits and their text introductions. Although it was very tiring, there were many interesting discoveries, which also aroused my yearning for mysterious things when I was a teenager. The exhibits are also very valuable, ranging from small sculptures and fragments to huge coffin lids and mummies, some exquisite and some magnificent. The souvenir shop sells many beautiful little things, with reasonable prices. A brilliant and ancient Great Pyramid paperweight only costs 20 euros. It is worth mentioning that the explanation machine is equipped with Chinese. Friends who want to go, please remember to bring headphones, otherwise it is really inconvenient to listen to it with your ears close to your ears.
This museum is a professional museum about Egyptian archaeology and anthropology in Turin, Italy. It is also the second largest museum in the world. It has a lot of collections. It feels worthwhile after entering. There are stone collections everywhere. Tickets are 15 euros.
