Vancouver Art Exhibition|Chagall, the Painter Who Writes Poetry with Colors
🎨 Compared to checking in at popular spots, I prefer discovering and exploring hidden gems. While strolling in downtown Vancouver, I came across a gallery exhibiting works by the world-renowned painter Marc Chagall.
🤔 I remember a few years ago at the Shanghai Exhibition Center, I saw a large commercial exhibition featuring masterpieces by famous European artists, including works by Chagall.
🧑🎨 Marc Chagall (1887-1985)
A Jewish-French painter, a poetic master of modern art, a painter who writes poetry with colors!
🎨 His works showcase:
🪽 Dreamlike figures flying in the air;
💑 Lovers embracing;
🐒 Animals talking;
🏙️ Cities turned upside down;
……
🧑🎨 Chagall once said:
I do not paint what I see with my eyes, I paint what I feel in my heart.
🤔✍️ Visiting his handwritten signed manuscripts, each piece is marked with a number in the lower left corner. The exhibition here is not of the painter’s masterpieces, but a precious part of his manuscripts. Observing carefully, one can’t help but admire this uniquely sensitive painter with spiritual depth, poetic thought, and unity of heart and hand!
🌟 Highlights of his works:
🎨 Strong colors, with extensive use of blue, red, and green
🖼️ The images have a dreamlike 🆚 poetic quality
🧑🎨 Chagall was a 20th-century lyrical modernist painter, one of the few artists who integrated folklore, religion, love 🆚 modern art❗️ He created numerous religious and public artworks, including stained glass windows in many European churches and the ceiling of the Paris Opera House (1964).
🕐 Gallery opening hours:
Tuesday to Saturday, 11 AM to 5 PM
🚶♀️ After leaving the gallery, take a walk at Canada Place, enjoying the beautiful mountain and sea views, as if traveling through a dream of time!
🎉 The waterfront in downtown Vancouver is a great place to celebrate New Year's Eve. Invite your loved ones or friends and come celebrate together 🥂

Show More ReviewsStrolling beneath the white sail-shaped roofs of Canada Place, I felt like I was sailing in the harbor! The five-sail building reflecting the shimmering waters of the bay was so stunning that I couldn't help but snap a dozen photos from different angles. Walking along the wooden walkway, watching seaplanes take off and land and seagulls fight over fries was truly captivating. I also stopped by the FlyOver Canada experience center, where the 4D flight simulator over the snow-capped mountains was incredibly realistic! The evening sun painted the harbor a molten hue. I sat on the steps, munching on ice cream and watching the cruise ships arrive and depart, lost in thought for an hour. My only complaint was the strong wind that tangled my hair—but that's Vancouver's effortless charm, huh?
