💡Super Practical Vienna Tips:
❶ Transport: The 72-hour transport pass is super cost-effective! Unlimited subway, bus, and tram rides, including the airport express.
❷ Language: Locals speak good English, but saying “Guten Tag” (hello) is more welcomed.
❸ Food: Must-try schnitzel with potato salad, Central Café’s Sachertorte paired with black coffee cuts the richness.
❹ Safety: Pickpockets are common in the Old Town, carry your backpack in front, don’t put your phone in outer pockets.

Free entry to the church, was very busy but worth going inside to appreciate the grandeur of the place. Nice to be able to light a candle for loved ones. In December there is a Christmas market right outside with food stalls and giftsThe cathedral is magnificent. St. Stephen’s Cathedral, located in Vienna, Austria, is a stunning Gothic masterpiece known for its intricate architecture, colorful tiled roof, and towering spire. A symbol of the city’s rich history, it has witnessed centuries of cultural and religious significance. Visitors can climb the 343 steps to the top for panoramic views. #StStephensCathedral #Vienna #GothicArchitecture #HistoricLandmarks #TravelGoals
The cathedral is a mixed style with strong integration and is very friendly to tourists. Friends who are interested can walk around it, which has different landscape styles, and can also climb to the top to look into the distance.
Stephen's Cathedral is famous for its towering Gothic South Tower and Renaissance North Tower, the two towers are of different heights, the South Tower is 136.4 meters high and the North Tower is 68.3 meters high. The roof of the church is decorated with colorful diamond patterns, including the royal and imperial double-headed eagles and the coat of arms of the city of Vienna.
Located in the center of Vienna, northeast of the Hofburg Palace, next to the Black Death Memorial Column. Stephen's Cathedral is the largest church in Vienna and one of the three largest churches in Europe. The church is free to visit, but you need to pay to climb the tower or visit the crypt. The tower is divided into the South Tower and the North Tower. The North Tower has an elevator but is shorter. The South Tower requires climbing more than 300 stairs to reach a height of 67 meters. You can see the exquisite wall tiles of the church and the city view of Vienna up close, so the South Tower is more recommended.
Stephen's Cathedral, the exterior of the church is still under repair, but there are still many tourists. The church combines a variety of architectural styles. You can overlook the new city of Vienna by climbing the north tower, and the south tower is the third tallest church spire in the world. During the visit, I especially noticed the mosaic pattern on the roof of the church, which is very interesting. The armband pattern is composed of three colors: yellow, green and black, and the double-headed eagle representing the Habsburg dynasty is the most eye-catching. The open area inside the church is not too large, and it was quickly seen. The beam of light shining on the ground through the glass makes people feel sacred and solemn.
St. Stephen's Cathedral is a landmark building in Vienna. This time I came to the center of Vienna and was completely attracted by its magnificence. As the most important religious building in Vienna, St. Stephen's Cathedral has been the seat of the Catholic bishop and the most important church in Austria since the late 15th century. St. Stephen's Cathedral witnessed many important events of the Habsburg dynasty and Austria. The Gothic architectural style of the church is enviable.
