Weifang kites are famous, especially those from Yangjiabu. How can you not buy a handmade kite from Yangjiabu when you are in Weifang? I saw the craftsmen making them by hand, using bamboo blanks and candle alcohol to bend them into shape. There were not many people, which was quite good.
Yangjiabu Folk Art Grand View Garden (formerly Yangjiabu Kite Factory), located in Weifang, Shandong Province, is the largest kite factory in China since its establishment in May 1986. The garden combines kite production, New Year picture printing, and folk tourism, with its products winning numerous awards. Yangjiabu kites feature auspicious themes like birds, beasts, fish, and insects, with the 350-meter dragon head centipede kite being particularly famous. The garden includes kite workshops, New Year painting workshops, and folk customs exhibition halls, offering farmhouse experiences and attracting many domestic and international tourists, making it a key cultural exchange hub for Weifang City.

Yangjiabu Folk Art Grand View Garden The garden is quite big. The kites are stereotyped. The experience content needs to be planned. The exit management of the garden feels weird. There are several snake-like lines at the exit. Why? After the visit, you can just go out of the gate. Why do you have to go around the gate in a winding way? There are a lot of people surrounding the entrance and entering directly. There is no management
When I went there, Yangjiabu Folk Art Grand View Garden was holding the Journey to the West Season event. I happened to enter at 6:30 pm when the night market just started. The night view was beautiful. The theme songs of the TV series Journey to the West were played in the garden. At night, the rockery and pond were colorful. The layout looked like a certain place in Journey to the West (a bit like the Dragon Palace but I can't say where it was specifically). The sense of substitution was very strong. There was also a group of handsome men and beautiful women who put on well-made costumes to play the roles in Journey to the West. At the end, we watched the stage performances (beautiful fairies dancing, Bull Demon King breathing fire, Monkey Brother playing with sticks, and the host singing 🎤). At the end, there were fireworks and bonfires! In short, I had a lot of fun playing in there with my boyfriend, la la la la la la, la la la la la
The kite museum in the scenic spot, the annual painting museum, has a cultural heritage, it is worth visiting
There are fewer people, and the Spring Festival lighting meeting is currently retained. Some decorations have not been removed, and some parts are under renovation. There is an exhibition of the New Year Painting Museum, and there is a workshop of carved annual paintings and wooden board annual paintings behind.
Worth a turn!
Ok, after all, the fare is not expensive.
