The Wellington Monorail is the main means of transportation to Mount Victoria. It is a red cable car that is the same for both going up and down. It takes about 20 minutes to go back and forth. Along the way, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Victoria. The feeling of being high above is very different.
Be sure to take a small train up to see it when you are free. It is very interesting. The scenery on the top of the mountain is beautiful. There is also an observatory. There is a park on the mountain. You can walk down the mountain. If you have time, it is recommended to buy a one-way train to the mountain and walk down the mountain by yourself.
Buy a ticket from the downtown station and take a bus to the top of the mountain in three minutes. On the top of the mountain is the Royal Botanic Garden and the observatory. From the top of the mountain, you can see the view of the harbor, but this is really no cost-effective. It is six knives a single trip and 12 knives back and forth. New people can come and feel it once.
Very good, there is no parking lot near the terminal to pick up the ticket.
The Wellington Cable Car takes 612 meters long and climbs 120 meters for five minutes. From the bustling business district, board the cable car and take a bird's-eye view of Wellington city and the vast coast. The terminal is the entrance to the top of the Wellington Botanical Garden. The cable car now runs only two opposites, which can carry 100 passengers. Passengers have local residents as transportation, most of them tourists. The adult one-way ticket costs NZD 4, and the price of 25 tickets is half cheaper (1 NZD = 4.6RMB). The cable car runs every ten minutes, Monday to Friday 7:00 – 22:00, weekends and holidays start at 8:30, and end one hour in advance.
