The Zen Temple is located in the east of Daxi Town, in the north of Panlang Management Area, with Liuqing Temple as the core, including Mao'ao Mountain, Wufeng Mountain, Mao'ao River, Liuqing Temple and Jingyun Temple, with an area of 229 hectares. The temple was built in the third year of Tianfu of the Later Jin Dynasty (938) and has experienced several rises and falls. In 1985, Zen Master Zhu of the temple was elected as the president of the Wenling County Buddhist Association. During his presidency, he then rebuilt the Daxiong Hall, the Tianwang Hall, the Tibetan Scripture Building, the Zhai Hall, the Zen Room, and repaired the Western Hall and the Earth Store Hall. In 1989, Taizhou Administrative Office approved the opening to the outside world. In 1992, it was designated as a cultural relics protection unit in Wenling County. At present, the courtyard has blue tiles and yellow walls, the temples are carved with beams and painted buildings, the eaves and corners, the flat forehead and the couplets are all written by famous contemporary artists. It also collects the handwriting couplets of Li Hongzhang, Lu Runwei, He Shaoji, Yu Changlin, Fan Dingsan and the famous monk Liaosheng in the Qing Dynasty and the Tripitaka. There are three thousand-year-old camphor trees in Sanmen. The trees are big three or four, with lush branches and leaves, and female radishes lead them, covering several acres, which are the treasures of the town temple. Dozens of pine trees, camphor trees, and Magnolia officinalis are planted around the fence, with branches and leaves hanging out, and the sun is dark. Behind the temple is a coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest with lush green colors. The Maoao River flows eastward around the three gates.
