Wuyi Mountain Scenic Area Travel Guide
Core Overview
Wuyi Mountain is a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site, featuring the distinctive "clear water and Danxia mountains" landscape and profound tea culture. The scenic area is mainly divided into four large zones: Tianyou Peak to Taoyuan Cave, Jiuqu Stream to Wuyi Palace, Yixiantian to Huxiao Rock, and Dahongpao to Water Curtain Cave. The attractions are relatively scattered, so it is recommended to reserve 2-3 days for an in-depth visit. Spring and autumn (April-May, September-November) offer pleasant weather and abundant tea fragrance, making them the best times to visit.

I've been to Wuyishan twice and highly recommend it. It truly lives up to its reputation as a World Heritage Site, a National Park of China, and one of China's Top Ten Famous Mountains. Although the scenic area is large, the shuttle buses are quite convenient, making the visit less tiring. We drove there and stayed in the city center, where the hotels were great value for money.
Wuyishan is truly beautiful, especially the view of the misty clouds in the morning – it's absolutely breathtaking! I highly recommend the bamboo rafting; it was so relaxing for someone like me who prefers a leisurely trip.
Booking tickets here is very convenient. Wuyishan is definitely worth visiting. There's no entrance fee during the off-season, but the shuttle bus ticket is a bit expensive on the first day. I guess it's to encourage people to stay for several days. The transportation is quite convenient. The bamboo rafting trip offers beautiful scenery on both banks.
