Sixi, a village in the Sixi Yancun Scenic Area, keeps the luxury homes of many Huizhou merchants in the Ming and Qing dynasties. In its entrance there is the Tongji Bridge and the Rulai Buddha Column. It is the ancient relics combing village with water entrance. The residences of the merchants in the Qing dynasty are the Zhenyuan Hall, the Chengyu Hall, the Chengde Hall, and so on. The exquisite craftsmanship of the three carvings (brick carving, stone carving, wood carving) fully embodies the architectural characteristics of Huizhou folk houses. Among them, the rare "Hundred Shou Picture" in the Baishou Flower Hall, which consists of 96 different styles of the character "longevity," and the main scene of the 1987 edition of the Ghost Stories, are not to be missed.
