Visit the less-known attractions in Wuyuan, and immerse yourself in the local life amidst the fireworks
During the first three days of our trip to Wuyuan, we visited the Huangling and Jiangling scenic areas, as they are well-known and we wanted to see them first. They were indeed spectacular and lived up to our expectations. However, the lesser-known scenic spots in Wuyuan offer a deeper understanding of the ordinary life and the beauty it holds, bringing inner peace. Therefore, after touring the two major scenic areas, we started exploring the small villages from the fourth day, beginning with the Likeng scenic area. It wasn't the tranquility I was looking for; the place was small, just a few alleys, and could be seen within an hour. We stayed at the Huajian Dongli Homestay in Wuyuan, a peaceful place amidst the hustle and bustle, with very generous hosts. We parked our car at the scenic area's parking lot and could drive into the homestay's parking lot after 5:30 pm. There were plenty of homestays with convenient parking. Although it also featured small bridges and flowing water, the creek was flanked by bustling shops, and the area was crowded with tourists. You could see beautiful girls in horse-face skirts, female models in cheongsams, taste local delicacies, observe people sitting by the creek, calm dogs, and red lanterns hanging high. It was lively. If you enjoy such scenes, it's worth a visit, reminiscent of the bustling scenes in the 'Along the River During the Qingming Festival' painting. I hesitated before going, as it was somewhat famous, but I decided to experience it. Yet, it wasn't what I was looking for. I saved my anticipation for a few free attractions: Sixi Yan Village, Chaguan Ancient Town, and Hongguan Ancient Village. After spending a night in Likeng (where a ticket is required), we headed straight to these small places the next morning. First, we entered Yan Village, so quiet, with children sketching on the covered bridge and villagers washing clothes under the bench bridge, vast fields of rapeseed flowers, perfect for taking beautiful photos. There were a few large households in the alleys with ancient houses, not many highlights, but the natural environment was too comfortable. The villagers lived freely, and the old oxen slowly made their way up the mountain. Such a down-to-earth life. Sixi Village scenic area is connected to Yan Village, both with parking lots, and the former has more tourists. Many locals with strong accents offered explanations, and we enjoyed the green dumplings made by the villagers on the spot. The ancient architecture in Sixi Village was more impressive than in Yan Village, with exquisite wood, stone, and brick carvings. Next, we visited the much-anticipated Chaguan Ancient Town and Hongguan, where we saw the ancient bridge with the old man and his ox, the thousand-year-old camphor tree, and many other small scenic spots with a down-to-earth atmosphere. Along the way, we could also see the steaming morning mist, mountain views, and beautiful scenery at every step. Self-driving is perfect for this, allowing us to slow down, stop, and savor more. One visit to Wuyuan is not enough; I will definitely come back!
The village is not commercial, the traces of the residents' lives are very heavy, there are not many attractions in the village, and it was not fun at first, until we found the passage of the back mountain, the feeling of a small wetland, the original ecological state, very good

Architecture: Congtingtang, Mingxuntang, Yu Qingtang, etc., there are 156 ancient houses, of which 5 buildings in the Ming Dynasty and more than 80 buildings in the Qing Dynasty. It is called Huizhou Confucian Shang No. 1 Village. Features: The whole village is mainly based on the ancient buildings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the village is covered with bluestone slabs, the ancient buildings are backed by the green hills, facing the Qingxi and rice fields, surrounded by green spaces, the village and the elegant natural scenery of the beautiful water green mountains are integrated.
Sixiyan Village actually contains 2 villages of Sixi and Yancun. Most tourists visit Sixi Village. In fact, Yancun is quieter and tidy, and the pictures are more beautiful. The homestay is also more scaled and high-grade, and there is a bar. Next time you go to Yancun to live.
Life is worth working hard. Real life is not all work, so adjust your mentality in time. Let’s go. Sometimes I feel that I am a talent. I can plan my travel plans and enjoy life.
The scenic spot is not big, walking in the Huizhou architecture complex, I feel pretty good, beautiful scenery, distinctive, 1.5 hours after the tour.
The rape flowers in Sixi Village are more beautiful
The place is not big, it will be turned around in an hour.
The ancient village that is very worth visiting is not serious about commercialization, and it is more worth it than Likeng!
