Of all the places I visited in Xi'an, Tang Paradise (大唐芙蓉园) was a true highlight, particularly for its peaceful atmosphere and immaculately clean grounds. For a relaxing visit, I highly recommend going during the daytime when it's less crowded. You can enjoy a wonderful, leisurely walk around the entire park. A full loop, taking in the main sights around the lake, is about 3 km and typically takes 2-3 hours at a comfortable pace. What makes the walk so pleasant is that there are plenty of places to sit down and simply enjoy the view, from benches along the paths to pavilions overlooking the water. The park is also very visitor-friendly. You'll find plenty of clean and well-maintained restrooms throughout the grounds, so that's never a concern. There are also several shops scattered around, perfect for picking up a souvenir, a drink, or a light snack. However, you absolutely must stay for the night. The transformation is breathtaking. As the sun sets, the entire park is illuminated, creating spectacular night views. The lit-up palaces, especially the main Ziyun Tower (紫云楼), reflected on the lake, are simply magical. Whether you go for a quiet daytime retreat or a dazzling evening spectacle, Tang Paradise is a must-see. It perfectly captures the grandeur of the Tang Dynasty in a stunningly beautiful and comfortable setting.
