The Longest Day in Chang'an was a particularly special stop on my trip to Xi'an. Before going, I thought it would mainly be Tang Dynasty-style scenery and Hanfu photo opportunities, but once inside, I found the performances and NPC interactions were the real highlights. The entire indoor space was designed like a Tang Dynasty market scene, complete with lanterns, taverns, shops, and actors, creating an atmosphere far more complete than typical antique-style commercial streets. The ability to unexpectedly encounter performances while walking around was especially interesting; you didn't have to sit in a fixed theater waiting. Public information shows that the venue itself is themed around the TV series "The Longest Day in Chang'an," integrating Tang Dynasty cuisine, handicrafts, immersive performances, and interactive experiences into a space of approximately 24,000 square meters. There are also downsides: it's relatively dark inside, crowded during peak hours, and there are quite a few commercial projects. If you're just going in to take a few photos and leave, I think it's a bit of a waste. I recommend allowing at least 3 hours, checking the performance schedule beforehand, and being bold enough to interact with the NPCs. If you've seen "The Longest Day in Chang'an," or enjoy Tang Dynasty culture, Hanfu, and immersive performances, I think it's worth experiencing. It's completely different from the Tang Dynasty Never Sleeping City; one is about enjoying the night view, while the other is about truly immersing yourself in the experience.
