It is the site of the large training ground where Zheng Chenggong trained his soldiers. Zheng Chenggong once gathered his soldiers here for daily training and inspection. Chen Jiageng chose this place to establish Xiamen University, implying that he would inherit the will of his ancestors and prosper the country through patriotism.
