    Caodongzong Temple

    Original Text

Jinnouji is a temple of the Soto sect. To see the inside of the temple, you can make a reservation by TEL in advance or go to the "Autumn Leaves Festival" on the last weekend of November.

A historic temple at the foot of Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine

    Original Text

It is about 5 walk from Keihan Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine. At the end there is a narrow steep staircase. It is a temple established by the monk Gyokyo, who moved Hachimangu Shrine from USA Hachiman to this area at the same time. In the main hall, a seated statue of Gyokyo Ritsu, an important cultural property, which was relocated from the Kaisando of Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine due to the separation of Shinto and Buddhism in the early Meiji period, is enshrined. Many maples are planted around the area, and the blue maples in spring and autumn leaves are beautiful.

Sugiyamadani Fudo in OKU no in is recommended!

    Original Text

Jinnoji is read as "Jinnouji". Like Takara Shrine, which is the shrine of the nearby Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, it was founded by a gyokyo ritsushi who opened Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine in 860. It was located in the Zen sect temple (Soto sect) and the temple name, but at first it was a temple where you can learn four sects, Shishu and Gaku. Look at the torii gate at the foot of the mountain of Iwashimizu Hachimangu from the front and follow the path on the right to reach Jinoji Temple. There is a mountain gate at the entrance on the road in a narrow residential area, there ...

    just a little bit, jinoji.

    Original Text

I stopped by after visiting Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine. It is a temple of the Soto sect and is a venerable temple opened by a gyokyo ritsushi who opened Iwashimizu Hachimangu in 860. The enshrined seated statue of Gyokyo Ritsushi is designated as a national important cultural property and many other treasures are preserved. It is good to use the Otokoyama cable round trip to visit Iwashimizu Hachimangu, but on the way back, I think it is also good to take a walk around Jinoji Temple using the approach.

    It's a small temple.

    Original Text

Along with "Iwashimizu Hachimangu" and "Zenhoji" in the card-member magazine of "Yes, Kyoto, let's go", I visited it because it was introduced as a temple famous for autumn leaves in Yawata City. It is a temple that is closely related to the Toyotomi and Tokugawa families, but it seems a little early for the autumn leaves for the purpose. It's not far from Keihan station, but there are high stairs, so I hesitate to go again.
