King George VI once proudly said, "The history of York is the history of England". Located on the banks of the River Ouse in northeast England, York is the second largest tourist city in England. Its outstanding architecture and two thousand years of history are integrated with its prosperous commercial streets. There are more than 30 museums and galleries in the city center. Here you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the leisure and tranquility that the British town brings you.
It was nice to be able to walk along the walls and get a panoramic view of the city of York. It was also nice to be able to see the Mins from a distance so I could see the whole thing.
There is a round arched entrance at the city gate that says York Wall 🏰 Entrance, there is no charge. The city wall is centered on York Cathedral ⛪️, we spent about 1 hour around the city wall, and after going up to the end to walk back down, requires a little physical strength 💪🏻, if there are young children with you have to think Clear. The road along the city wall is slightly narrow. If you are facing someone, you have to give way before you can continue🥲. But the view from the city wall is beautiful✨, looking inside is more beautiful like a fairy tale🌷. The walls of York, which have existed since Roman times, are still quite intact.
The old York City Wall, integrated with the Old York City, is close to the York Cathedral. It is easy to open the fence and climb the small tower of the city wall. In the evening, we are three people in our family, as if our past, present and future are integrated into it.
York city walls is the first place we visited in our York trip. Built by the Romans in medieval period, this structure still stays so strong and rigid. This 2 miles long structure is the longest city wall of England.
The train came down, passed the river, passed the city wall, it was the old town, the old town of the British town was still very flavorful, the city wall, built in ancient Rome, should be considered a good preservation.
