I witnessed miracles carved by hundreds of millions of years of geological movement,
And redefined what it means to say “Life is Worth It.”

Come to Zhangjiajie—
Let the stunning peaks refresh your eyes, the fresh breeze cleanse your lungs, and the journey purify your soul.
📷 I am travel blogger Next stop, I want to visit Enshi Pingshan Canyon, where I heard the water is the blue that fell from the sky.
Follow me, and I’ll take you to measure China’s most beautiful corners with your footsteps.
Traveling during the off-season, and with snow the day before, routes A and B were closed, leaving only route C open. Even so, long queues formed at the entrance. There were only 4-5 ticket gates at the entrance, which was disappointing; shouldn't such a large attraction have many more? During peak season, the queues would easily last at least half an hour. The "painless" hike was indeed achieved; the entire hike involved cable cars and elevators, making it convenient for elderly people and children. There was only one entrance for both up and down, but due to the melted snow, it was very slippery, and everyone crowded around the rest area before quickly descending. The scenery was exceptionally beautiful. City shuttle buses are readily available, making it convenient to get around.
Highly recommended!!We visited during the february which is still winter but we got lucky with the weather. It was sunny in the afternoon and went there around 1pm. The line C was the only available at that time so we had no choice-we could’ve chosen the line A. Anyway it was a fun and we enjoyed the view at the top especially the 999 steps-which tiring but worth it!! You can opt for the escalators if you dont want to take the steep steps and by the way it ia i cluded in the admission ticket.Winter clothing is mandatory as it gets really cold and windy at the top. Many locals were visiting during this time which surprised us bescause we thought it was off season, but there were many locals with kids and very few foreigners-like we just met and saw like 2-3 couples!
Tianmen mountain was great, it was good weather and clear sky’s when I went so really good views. The ticket price is a bit steep but I would say it’s a must see
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park - Tianmen Mountain Three-Day Tour We also did a lot of strategy online in advance. Zhangjiajie is divided into two scenic spots, Wulingyuan and Tianmen Mountain. We chose to stay at the All Seasons Hotel near the Tianmen Mountain Cableway in the city for three days. Some friends also chose to stay near the Wulingyuan Scenic Area for the first two days and return to the city on the last day. For Wulingyuan, we booked tickets for the East Gate (Sign Gate) from 8:00 to 10:00 in the morning (Wulingyuan has four gates, and the ticket can be entered and exited at any gate unlimited times within four days, but the first day must strictly enter the park according to the purchased time and location). At 7:30 in the morning, wait for the tourist minibus (from the central bus station next to it) at the bus stop opposite the All Seasons Hotel, take the bus to the Sign Gate, about half an hour, enter from the East Gate Sign Gate, and then take the shuttle bus directly to the Bailong Elevator Station (do not get off at the Ten-Li Gallery and other stations in the middle). There is an observation deck next to the Bailong Elevator for taking pictures, and then take a bus to Yuanjiajie. After arriving in Yuanjiajie, walk to the No. 1 Bridge in the World. The scenery along the way is very good, and the journey takes about an hour and a half. Then take a bus from the parking lot of Tianxia No.1 Bridge to Yangjiajie. Yangjiajie is mainly a viewing platform. Then return to the parking lot and continue to take a bus to Tianzi Mountain. The main attractions of Tianzi Mountain are Fairy Scattering Flowers, Yubi Peak, and Helong Park. There is a McDonald's on Tianzi Mountain, where you can take a short break. After visiting the scenic spots, take the Tianzi Mountain cableway down to Shili Gallery, walk to the parking lot and take a bus back to the landmark gate. After leaving the door, walk to the big turntable opposite the Wulingyuan Building at the landmark gate and wait for the tourist minibus to return to the city. The next morning at 9:30, take a taxi from the city to the south gate of Forest Park Station. Enter the Oxygen Bar Square from the south gate, first take the cable car to Huangshizhai, and then take the cable car back to the Oxygen Bar Square after about an hour of sightseeing all the attractions. Then walk to the end of Jinbianxi, which takes about two hours. Then go to the Jinbianxi parking lot and take a bus to Shili Gallery. We take a sightseeing bus directly to Shili Gallery (you can also choose to walk back and forth), about half an hour of sightseeing, and still return to the parking lot of Shili Gallery, and then take a bus to the East Gate landmark gate. Return by tourist minibus. On the third day, the Tianmen Mountain Cableway Station was opposite the hotel. We bought tickets for Line A, which proved to be a correct choice. We took the cableway to the Tianmen Mountain Cableway Station at around 8:30. The upward cableway was very long and exciting. It crossed the city and several mountains and took about half an hour to reach the cableway station. There are two east-west lines on the mountain. You can go down the mountain in 20 minutes on the east line, or you can take half of the west line and then return to the cableway station to go to the east line. We chose to walk the whole way, from the west line to the top of the mountain to the east line. We walked along the mountain plank road (Guigu Plank Road) all the way, passing Li Na's villa, and then experienced the glass plank road on the west line (five yuan at your own expense), passing the cableway bridge to Tianmen Mountain Temple, which is also the intersection of the east and west lines. Here you can choose the middle line to take the mountaintop forest sightseeing cable car. We chose to continue walking along the east line signboard on the east line, passing the wing suit flight viewing platform, and were lucky enough to see the wing suit flight show, and then took the upper section of the mountain escalator (included in the ticket) down to the bottom of Tianmen Cave. When you reach the bottom of Tianmen Cave, those with good physical strength can choose to walk down the 999 steps. We continued to go down the mountain escalator (you need to buy your own ticket, the ticket price is 32 yuan)
When you come to Zhangjiajie, you must go to Tianmen Mountain to see Tianmen Cave. It is recommended to choose accommodation near the Tianmen Mountain Cableway Station in the city. It is best to walk from the hotel to the cableway station in the city. There are three routes to Tianmen Mountain: ABC. Route A is preferred. It is easy and does not go back, but there will be more people in the peak season. This route takes a long cable car to go up the mountain, and the ladder is easier from top to bottom, and finally takes a fast cable car down the mountain. Route B is second. It also does not go back. The minibus transfers to the fast cable car to go up the mountain, and the ladder climbs 999 steps from the bottom to the top, and finally takes the long cable car down the mountain. Route C will only be chosen when there are many people in the peak season and the reservation of Line A and Line B is not available. It will go back a while, so it is not recommended to choose Line C. You must check the weather when visiting Tianmen Mountain. It rained on the day I went there, and there was fog on the mountain. I looked out and it was all white and I couldn’t see anything. The glass plank road seemed like it had not been walked, and the Tianmen Cave was gone, which made the trip a little regretful. However, Tianmen Mountain in the clouds and mist also has its own flavor. Maybe climbing a mountain is like this, it won’t be a smooth journey, and it won’t be smooth sailing. Enjoy the process, accept all surprises and surprises, believe that everything is a good arrangement, and replace regrets with expectations for the next meeting.

We took Route B, got on the Tianmen Mountain Express Cableway, queued for half an hour, took photos and checked in at the Tianmen Cave Square, took 5 escalators to the Tianmen Cave, took 7 escalators to the top of the mountain, took photos and checked in at the glass plank bridge, etc., and took the 7,454-meter Tianmen Mountain Cableway for 28 minutes to get off (we took the VIP team channel and did not queue)
Five reasons why Tianmenshan National Forest Park is worth visiting 1. Original ecology and cultural heritage Sky Garden: The mountaintop preserves the original secondary forest, with rare plants such as Davidia involucrata and Liriodendron chinense, and is green all year round. Historical legends: Taoism and Confucianism blend together, Guigu Cave and Qiuer Cave contain ancient philosophy, and cultural relics are preserved at the Lingquanyuan site of the Tang Dynasty. 4. Scenery in all seasons Spring and summer: The sea of clouds is rolling, and the greenery is lush, suitable for hiking. Autumn and winter: The forest is full of colors, the Tianmen Cave is covered with snow, and it is quiet and magnificent. 5.
