Bethells Beach is on the West Coast of the North Island in New Zealand and has amazing black sand beaches. I visited during Christmas time and was worried about crowds but the crowds weren’t bad at all. There were lots of caves that could be explored during low tide, so pack a flashlight! There isn’t a lot of shops around but after 5pm on the weekend there is a little food truck that serves food on the beach. This is the perfect spot to come and unwind from all the stresses of daily life!! #happynewyear #happynewyear
