A beautiful old house close to the Cathedral, only open on a sunday, but the guide was helpful and friendly,
The surrounding environment of the farmhouse is quite rustic, and the feeling of living in seclusion is uncontested. The interior of the house is quite modern and luxurious, as if it has suddenly returned to modern society!
This is a villa-style book house. The design of the house shocked me. The story behind it is even more touching. It is said that it was designed by Howick’s Anglican priest Vicesimus Lush and his wife Blanche in the 1860s. put up. The purpose of building this cottage was that Lush wanted his eldest son to study at Parnell Middle School. Both fatherly love and motherly love are the greatest, and everything starts for the good of the child. I feel that this is a bookstore of love. The books in it are the father's deep love for his children. Holding a book is quite a love. This place shocked my heart.
A classic Victorian villa, it is said that this was designed and built by Howick's Anglican priest Vicesimus Lush and his wife Blanche in the 1860s. The purpose of building this cottage was that Lush wanted his eldest son to study at Parnell Middle School. There is a lot of paternal love in this origin. There are many books in this historic building, nearly 2,000 books, hundreds of pages of music scores, some drawings, and many well-preserved historical relics. It still feels good to flip through the book inside. It’s like a bookstore in a fairy tale.
Avelmi Farmhouse is really good, go and see
