very off beat place, good food, great staff, don't expect it to be a fancy place the place is regular but then is very aptly set for where it is.
We recently wiled away a rainy Sunday lunchtime here. The family who run it are delightful and so friendly. There is a good variety on the menu to satisfy every appetite - whether you just want a snack or a three course meal. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked and is good value for money.
The restaurant is located right in front of the information center, a little east of town center. With American license plates mounted on the wall, it is an American theme bar and restaurant, frequently patronized by locals. Aside from burgers, they also serve a variety of traditional Austrian sandwiches like the Bosna, the popular Austrian wurst with the same name served on a 12 inch bun. The food and salad were freshly made to order. Our waitress speaks some English. Overall food and service is good. Price is very reasonable. There is outdoor sitting in additional to the indoor. Unfortunately, smoking is permitted in the bar area. Our overall impression of this bar and restaurant is good. If you are craving for a burger in the middle of Austria, or you just want to eat among the locals…..Kraftstoff bar is the place.
The sandwiches are average and the crust is not removed, but the cheese inside is heated before being put in, and it blends well with the bread.
