Restaurant Dollmanns

This was a wonderful restaurant with superb food in a great setting. There was not an English version of the menu, but the staff took the time to explain each mouthwatering option. We had asparagus two ways (salad and an outstanding mousse) and grilled calamari for start. Devine! For main it was grilled fish from the nearby lake, with green salad and potatoes. Delicious! And for dessert a 'woody' mouse (we weren't 100% sure what it was, but it was so tasty), and strawberry dumplings. Superb! It is quite a small restaurant so definitely worth making a recommendation (which our hotel did for us) as it was full the entire time we were there (at least two hours). Enjoy!

Had lunch from the reduced set menu as this was the only choice between Christmas and New Year. Not that we would have missed anything or that our special dietary requirements would not have been catered for. Fabulous food, extremely flexible, friendly and authentic service, and definitely a restaurant to go back to on my next visit. Superb.

Food & service is excellent - heartily recommended! You need to have dinner there when staying in Gmunden!

The food on each plate was exquisite and delicious, but I was afraid of ordering the big chicken or steak, because it was really hard to eat, and the cold water on the table, I felt uncomfortable in my stomach.

Excellent cuisine, excellent lunch, good fish and meat with excellent grilled vegetables. The red wine is very tasty and silky. Very good service. Modern decorated environment, beautiful garden, ample parking space. Haven't you moved yet!
