Baicheng Library was founded in 1958 and was originally called Baicheng County Library. The collection has more than 20,000 volumes, and there is a library and newspaper room. During the "Cultural Revolution", the library also stopped lending to the outside world. After the Cultural Revolution, the library resumed providing services to readers. The site of 　　 is in Block D of the Modern Baicheng Cultural Center. In 1993, it was divided into the current Baicheng City Culture, Broadcasting, and New Bureau after it was relocated and established as a city, and was renamed Baicheng City Library. Relocated in 2004 to the present cultural center building. 　　 There are currently 200,000 copies (pieces) of collections of general Chinese books, bound newspapers and periodicals, electronic literature, etc. The building area is 4,300 square meters, with 5 departments and 2 rooms. They are the network department, the acquisition and editing department, the loan department, the reading department, the counseling department, the shared engineering office, and the office. Set up three front-line service windows of book loan area, newspapers and periodicals reading area, and electronic reading room. With a reading area of 1,000 square meters and 100 reading seats, it is the Baicheng Branch Center of the National Cultural Information Resource Sharing Project, the pilot city of Jilin Province for the National Digital Library Promotion Project, the Baicheng Library Alliance, and the president of the Baicheng Library Society.
