Jim Thompson "Thai Farmhouse" Tasteful Thai cuisine. The smell of green curry is good and happy. The green papaya salad is also good. The round is new.
Jim Thompson's spring rolls are very good. Each spring roll contains a prawn. The red curry beef is a bit more spicy, but it's very good with rice, coconut ice cream and mango.
A break after a pure museum tour. The restaurant in the museum has a natural environment, semi-open, and enjoys while resting. When I first came to Thailand, I especially thought about Thai milk tea, and another coconut ice cream. This is mainly about the environment. Let's exchange the exhibits and Mr. Jin's story together. Thai milk tea is a bit sweet, with too many ice cubes, it feels too cold, but the locals and foreigners like it, but our stomachs are not suitable. The ice cream is very delicious, the coconut milk flavor of Nong Nong, and finally the coconut meat is also eaten together to synthesize the cold of coconut.
RecommendedEven if youre not going for the tour of the house, this is a nice place to eat. Good food, in smaller or larger dishes - wine and beer are available. Nice location, outside beside a pond and close to the river.
Lunch at Jim Thompsons HouseVisited the museum and decided to stay for lunch. The menu offered a variety of mostly fried items. I had a very good lunch, recommended by the waiter. The staff was very attentive and the presentation beautiful. My table was by the pond, where I could enjoy the scenery and the not too warm January weather. A very nice midday break in a busy schedule.
Jim Thompsons HouseA great place to eat if you are heading around the main sights is the Thompson Restaurant. Its attached to Jim Thompsons House, with a beautiful and serene spot on the veranda. You can eat great food while away from the noise of the streets outside, soothed by the bubbling waters of the pond and serenaded by the occasional singer. The food is all local, as is the ambiance, and is some of the best Thai food youll find on the beaten tourist trail.
Great outdoor patioThis was a nice place to have lunch before we went on our tour of the complex. We chose to eat outside of the restaurant. The patio is covered and right off the river. Most patio restaurants dont have padded seating, but this did. Indoor air conditioned seating is also available. The prices are very reasonable but the portions we had were small. I wasnt that hungry so the amount of food was plentiful. I had steamed vegetables and my partner had a minced chicken salad. Our bill came to 490 baht which is approximately $15US. This includes the 10% service charge.
Good lunchWe went for lunch after our visit to the house museum.Great setting, attentive staff and very good food at a reasonable price.I would recommend and would return.
