Most visitors living in the Kysan area know this road as they have to cross it to reach Phra Athit Pier (by boat to the new centre of Bangkok). This road is not an ordinary Bangkok road, as many tourist-oriented businesses have opened here over the years. Locals also travel to Athit Road or live there. Some bars have live music that Asians like. Not like hardcore rock, disco or rap like Kaosan Road, but quieter and touching music. At the far (north) end near Sumenburg, there is a park on the bank. To the south is the Pinklao Bridge, from which you can see the river.
