What people are saying:

Here you can enjoy some very contemporary art and also the show of the skaters on the square. If you have a chance visit the shop of the museum since it is filled with amazing books and things. It is a sort of a cool spot here in town, you should defintely enjoy around seven when everybody is gathered here.

    Great exhibits!

Went with my partner and we loved the history and variety. The two featured exhibits were interesting and our visit was a great way to put all the other art we saw in Barcelona in context.

    Waste of money

One of the worst museums I have visited. Main floor was closed and other two were pretty much uninteresting and pretencious. Only good thing is design of building and skaters outside. Save yourself 11...

We went at 1700 on Monday evening and were able to tour in about an hour and a half. I didn’t have an audio guide but there were labels in English too. I especially appreciated the feminist art. I...

Additional Information

Architect Richard Meier created the complex an object of artistic intrigue. It gives off an alluring combination of straight lines and gentle curves as well as permitting for an abundance of natural light to enter the gallery. The interior contains both permanent and temporary exhibitions featuring works of modern art dating from the mid-20th century. In addition to the exhibits are sporadic lectures and events.
