Changlie Temple is located on Changlie Mountain in Malkang, the capital of Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. "Changlie" is Tibetan, meaning retreat. Since ancient times, it has been the place where eminent monks of all dynasties have retreated, and many eminent monks and great virtues have appeared in the history of Tibetan Buddhism. Changlie Monastery was founded in the 1340s and belongs to the Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism, with a history of more than 800 years. It is one of the famous monasteries of the Nyingma sect. It was a pity that it was destroyed in the Cultural Revolution, and in the 1980s it was rebuilt on the site of the old monastery. The new monastery consists of a six-story main monastery building, four monk dormitory buildings, a monastery hotel and a visitor reception room. The first floor of the main building of the temple is the Dajing Hall, the second floor is the lecture hall, the third floor is the Tibetan scripture building, the fourth floor is the multimedia classroom, the fifth floor is the Golden Buddha Hall, the sixth floor is the exhibition hall, and the roof is the golden roof. The monastery has an open terrain and a beautiful environment, including snow-capped mountains, alpine meadows and virgin forests.
