The Marlborough Tavern Bath

The restaurant is great, the food inside is made with the freshest seasonal vegetables in the local area, so the food inside is very fresh and delicious. The environment inside is also great, the environment is classical and elegant, and it is great to come here.

There are many guests dining outside the restaurant, the taste is particularly good, and the experience is quite missed.

Wonderful Sunday roast dinner. Really lovely, tasty, hot roast beef. My husband had roast pork and we had a wonderful evening in this friendly pub. The puddings were fab too, one of the best brownies with ice cream I’ve ever had-their chef knows what their doing here! Great hospitality, friendly staff. Restaurant is in a lovely setting and tables are not all crowded in together for once. A thoroughly good meal and a great find to our wknd away in Bath.

Visited this restaurant for Sunday lunch whilst staying in Bath. The team were very welcoming and ensured that we were seated as soon as we arrived. Even moving things around as we were a little earlier than planned.   Food was served very quickly and was good.   Nice beers and good Sunday lunch

Sunday Lunch

Had my first Sunday lunch here since it changed hands and I was pleased that the standard of cooking was still excellent. Had roast chicken and pork belly and sticky toffee pudding. Lovely NZ Sauvignon Blanc too. Would be nice to see a greater  range of draught beers but what they had was good. The staff were very pleasant but the service was too slow mainly, I think, due to wait staff not keeping a keen enough eye on the tables. It was a late  lunch and no where near as busy as I&apos;ve seen it in the past so it could have been slicker. Maybe the staff are a bit inexperienced - I didn&apos;t recognise any of the staff I&apos;d seen in the past. Still, a nice experience.

Food Still Lovely But Service A Bit Slow

My partner wined and dined me at this lovely place for my Birthday. Goat&apos;s cheese and fresh Figs on Rye with homemade onion Chutney, so delicious and best Goat&apos;s cheese ever! Beautiful tender Hanger Steak and triple cooked chips and homemade Peppercorn sauce. Lovely welcoming staff, cosy wood fires. Highly recommend!

Birthday treat.

First visit since change of ownership (management the same) so very happy that i couldn’t spot any changes! Sunday lunch was superb - and very happy that it wasn’t rushed.
