Weizhou Island : Volcanic beaches

This island is found off the coast of Beihai, accessible by Ferry. It has beautiful beaches filled with interesting geological formations. I went in March and the weather was perfect - sunny in the middle of the day but breezy enough to feel comfortable. The Island itself is very expensive to visit (2x ferry tickets & an entrance fee for the island) so I would recommend taking a couple of days and doing some diving or swimming while you are there to make the most of the trip.

Located in Guangxi province, this island is only accessible by ferry and is home to some amazing, historical scenic spots like the cathedral and volcanic beach; just to name a few, as well as many beautiful beaches. If seafood is your thing, well fret not because you will be quite at home in seafood paradise! The locals are friendly and helpful and the togetherness of the villagers is quite admirable!
