丹陛桥也称海墁大道,为天坛内坛的主轴线,是连接祈年殿和皇穹宇的南北大道,一长360米、宽29.4米的砖石台基。"丹"意为红,"陛"原指宫殿前的台阶。一条笔直坦荡的大道之所以又称"丹陛桥"是因为道路下辟有一个券洞,与上面的大道正好形成立体交叉。丹陛桥南端高约1米,北端却高约3米,由南向北逐渐升高,象征皇帝步步高升,寓升天之意。
天路丹陛桥位于首都北京的天坛公园内,丹陛桥是天坛公园内一条高四米,宽30米的一条石质大道,连接祈年殿和回音壁,是封建社会冬至皇帝祭天的必经大道,整条大道用大石条铺就,非常威武壮观。彰显皇家对上天的敬畏之心。
