Near the memorial hall is Qinglongqiao Station, a memorial place for Beijing-Zhangzhou Railway. It is located under the Red Leaf Ridge of the Great Wall of Badaling Mountains. Zhan Tianyou, an engineer of national railways, once presided over the construction of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway and ingeniously created the "Ren" type of climbing rail, which is still in use today. There are statues and cemeteries of Zhan Gong in the station. Unexpectedly, there are few tourists, quiet and quiet stations, and autumn is so charming. I have traveled all the corners of the station, changing all angles to take photos, lingering for a long time before quite reluctant to leave.
We took a small train from Beijing to Badaling, and soon after we got off, we saw the scenic spot, but the day we went to work, we didn't open our sights. If you have the chance, you can still come to see the tickets are not expensive. In the middle of the road from the station to Badaling, big signs are easy to find.
We went to Badaling Great Wall by high-speed rail, so we just got off the train and passed by. It was built in memory of Zhan Tianyou, father of Chinese railway. However, because we have to climb the Great Wall, the time is relatively tight, so we did not visit carefully, but only the doorway photographs, to visit here only.
The first person on the Chinese Railway was on the edge of Badaling Kacheng.
Zhan Tianyou bronze statue is located in Qinglongqiao Station of Jingzhang Railway in Yanqing County. Zhan Tianyou was born in Nanhai County of Guangdong Province on April 26, 1861. He was admitted to the United States for study at public expense in the eleventh year of Tongzhi Qing Dynasty (1872). He graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of Sheffield Institute of Technology, Yale University in June of the Qing Dynasty. He returned to China in August of the same year and served successively as Fuzhou Shipping School and Fujian University. Teacher of Guangzhou Shuilu Teachers'School, engineer of Tianjin Railway Company in the fourteenth year of Qing Guangxu (1888), presided over the construction of Beijing-Zhang Railway from 1905 to 1909. He was the first generation of railway engineer in China. He died of illness in Renji Hospital of Hankou on April 24, 1919. He was 59 years old. In the same year, a bronze statue of Zhan Tianyou was erected at Qinglongqiao Station. Zhan Tianyou Tomb was originally erected at Wanquanzhuang, Haidian District, May 20, 1982. The tomb is composed of nine semi-relief granite blocks and a white semi-circular Tomb of Chinese white jade. Under the tomb is a tomb, which contains the ashes of Mr. Zhan Tianyou and his wife Tan Juzhen. The tombstone is made of black marble with granite edges. It is engraved with more than 500 words "Mr. Zhan Tianyou's life".
At the foot of the Great Wall of Shuiguan, the old courtyard where Mr. Zhan Tianyou worked was right here. This ordinary courtyard has three main rooms and one ear room on each side. At present, there are some precious historical pictures of Zhan Tianyou when he built the railway in the main room. Through these documents, we can get a glimpse of the great men in modern times.
Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall, located on the north side of the Badaling Great Wall in Yanqing District, is a special character Memorial Hall established to commemorate Zhan Tianyou, a patriot who has made outstanding contributions in the history of modern railway construction in China. It was completed and opened in November 1987. The memorial hall is composed of a hall of admiration, a prelude hall and three exhibition halls. It shows Zhan Tianyou's journey from studying, devoting himself to railway construction to anti-clearance and road maintenance, and supporting the 1911 Revolution. At the same time, Zhan Tianyou's surveying and mapping instruments, tools, seals, medals and construction tools of Beijing-Zhangzhou Railway were displayed.
