Wangfujing Ancient Ruins Museum Culture

The first time I found such a long-term ancient human cultural relics in the center of the international metropolis~ I saw this ancient human cultural heritage museum on the way to the subway station very early, but I have never paid attention to it before. I thought it was just a small exhibition in the mall that made full use of the subway space. It was not until a while ago that the early humans in Beijing, including Beijingers, Peak Caves, and Wangfujing Ancient Humans, that I suddenly understood that the original Oriental Plaza below was really A ancient human cultural site, so quickly arranged today's visit. Early humans active in Beijing are mainly concentrated in the Longgu Mountain area of Zhoukoudian, which is very familiar to everyone. The "Beijing people" and the "Peak Cave people" from 700,000 to 200,000 years ago, and the ancient humans of Wangfujing are about 1.5 to 2.6 years ago. It was discovered at the construction site of Wangfujing Oriental Plaza in 1996. After eight months of rescue excavation, the archaeological team collected a large number of stone tools, bone tools, bones, fire relics, etc. in the 892 square meters of site area, deep underground 11-12 meters. It is a very important site of late Paleolithic ancient human activity, and the first time in the world that such a long-standing ancient human cultural relics have been found in the central metropolitan area. Perhaps this is the human race of "Beijing people" and "Peak Cave people" with inheritance relations, exploring outward from Longgu Mountain, passing through the current Wangfujing area, and "shortly" staying for a while. Wangfujing Ancient Human Cultural Site Museum was jointly invested and built by the Dongcheng People's Government and Mr. Li Kacheng. It was officially opened to the public at the end of 2001 and completed the upgrade in October 2016. I didn't know the history of Wangfujing Ancient Humanity until 2023. Really late. The museum is relatively small, I am afraid that most people living in Beijing do not know; and it is really small, the exhibition hall area is only 300 square meters, almost a glance can see the whole picture, but the content displayed inside is not simple. Scan the code at the door to make an appointment, and then buy a ticket for 10 yuan on the spot. After entering the venue, there is a small exhibition hall. The exhibition is some stone tools and animal bones unearthed at the ancient human site of Wangfujing. One of the stone tools has carved some textures, which look like a tree. Or this is the early hieroglyphic budding. After passing the small exhibition hall, I came to the main exhibition hall. Under the large glass on the ground, there is a preserved unearthed site. The land is scattered with stone tools, animal bones, and fire marks, like a place for ancient human barbecue animals to eat. There are some scenes around. An ancient human hunting scene with sound and light effects on the wall. From the other side of the passage, there is a small exhibition hall on the stone tools, introducing the types and methods of making stone tools, and a few exhibits. The whole museum didn't take half an hour to look at it, but after visiting, I learned that an important and little-known ancient human cultural relics in Beijing are still very worthwhile.

Three floors below the new world in Wangfujing. I didn't know there was such a site before. Huimin ticket activities only know, free visit. Usually 10 yuan per person.
