Enjoy with colourful hot springs 🌸
#2023travelwish
I had the experience of travelling to Beppu.
Beppu is famous for its onsen (hot springs). Rather than bathing, there are hot springs for viewing also. And each one is formed different way and has different properties.
There are 7 hot springs known as ‘Hells of beppu’. If you have time, it is recommended to visit each of them.
There are also foot baths for the feet in these places. It is a great way to relax and it is recommended to take towels for your feet with you. At the same time , some places give towels to visitors.
Note: You don’t have to visit all of them. However, you have to pay the entrance fee for each of them. If you buy a packet , you can pay 2000 yen (15$) one time and can visit 7 hot springs. You can take the ticket from ticketing place at the entrance of any hot spring place.
As you can see with photos, this view is amazing and it deserves to be visited.

Colourful Hot Springs in Beppu
In the city of Beppu of Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, there are steaming hot springs which they call hells for viewing that are popular with tourists. Their unique appearances make the hot springs spectacular. Beppu is the second largest producer of geothermal water in the world.
The different types of hell are derived from the different types of water. Umi Jigoku, or Sea Hell in Japanese, is named for its vibrant cobalt blue waters surrounded by a small Japanese garden. The blue colour is the result of sunlight hitting the water surface. The water is so hot that clouds of steam constantly obscure its surface. Another hot spring that is interesting is the Chinoike Jigoku or Blood Pond Hell, named after the vibrant red colour of the steaming hot pond due to the iron in the water.
There is also a free foot bath for visitors who are tired from all the walking which comes from natural hot spring waters. This foot bath is truly a lifesaver to sit down and relax. In addition, they also sell food items boiled using the spring waters such as eggs.

#umi Jigoku is beautiful hells in #beppu #japan , the "sea hell" features a pond of boiling, blue water. In its spacious gardens, there are a few smaller, orange colored hells and a clear water pond with lotus flowers whose large leaves are strong enough to carry small children.

Umi Jigoku
#thingstodo The Umi Jigoku is a relatively larger hot spring park compared to the others. Other than the amazingly huge pool of hot spring near the end of the park which fumes a lot of hot air, there’s also a nice compound showcasing how they grow tropical plants with water from the hot spring.
The park itself is very well maintained and has beautiful pathways. The gallery in the middle of the park is also pretty interesting, highlighting the history of the park and the Beppu’s culture around the spring.
This park is one of the 7 in the Jigoku group. Not all parks are part of this group. You can buy a group ticket to see all the parks or you can buy entrance to each park individually

An Onsen That’s As Blue As The Ocean
Beppu is a city of tiled roofs, rising steam and historic hot spring resorts! With its numerous and diverse hot springs (different colored water, sizes and ways to use), Beppu has earned the reputation as a "hot spring paradise”. ♨️
Umi Jigoku or Sea Hell, was the first jigoku or hell that we visited. Formed after Mt. Tsurumaki erupted1300 years ago!! Of the many hells 地獄 of Beppu Japan’s “Jigoku Meguri” (Hell Tour), this is definitely one of the most beautiful. The hell is a pretty cobalt blue color, 98°C and over 200 meter deep, with very beautiful and dazzling appearance. An amazing natural phenomenon that you really have to see!
There are also souvenir shops and galleries throughout the hells. The foot bath was really nice and relaxing after a good walk. At Umi Jigoku exit, be sure to also stop by to try the small sweet buns steamed in the Jigoku Mushi (the hell steam) called Gokuraku Manju. Very tasty!
Addess - 559-1 Kannawa, Beppu, Oita 874-0000, Japan

Shiosai-No-Yado Seikai Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
The two meals in Qinghai are not available in the room, but depending on the variety selected, you need to go to different restaurants,
We choose traditional Japanese cuisine for dinner and Japanese breakfast.
Before we sat, the menu and tableware for the day was already set on the table.
A total of ten, including cherry blossoms and desserts: black sesame mousse.
After a full meal, shake the slightly drunken body, drag the less accustomed raft, go through the quiet path, and then go to the hot spring pool again, and then spend another hot spring with the companion.
The night is getting thicker, and we are soaked with the heat from the inside out.
Woke up, it was a good meal.
Two people in the ordinary room, one per day, about 50,000 yen.
There is a Japanese home shopping mall in the south of the hotel. It is very good, and there is also a domestic name. The translation name is Nidaly. The
hotel's fruit is very famous, with a separate foreign fruit shop 100 meters south. Very suitable for buying and enjoying. But in fact, eating hot spring dishes will be very full. I really hope that I have a stomach to buy fruit at the time.

Chaoshangzhiqinghai is located in Beppu, Kyushu.
As the name implies, if it is sunny, you can see beautiful sunrises shining above the sea in the house. The
hot spring hotel looks small and plain from the outside. Going in is often a hole in the sky.
Qinghai's lobby, all the walls are floor-to-ceiling windows, facing the sea in Beppu Bay.
The modern architecture does not lose the Japanese characteristics, such as the tables and chairs in the lobby, all of which are traditionally low in Japanese design.
The waiter is mainly male. After checking in, accompany the female guest to pick a bathrobe and send it to the room to explain the room facilities. Service is not too alienated. All rooms in
Qinghai face the sea. The room is equipped with private soup, which is convenient for intimate couples. I prefer the big bath, wide, comfortable, few people, and comfortable. There are two baths in
, one is the first floor of Chaoshan soup; the other is the top floor 8F's sun soup, as the name suggests, you can see the sunrise at sea.
Two baths for men and women to rotate. Usually experience one of them at night, and you can experience another one the next morning.
The soup pool on the first floor is very close to the sea, because everyone is soaking in their own private soup, so the bath is very quiet, only to hear the sound of their breathing and the sound of the sea.
If you catch up with the morning sun, you must remember to watch the sunrise time. It is rare to see the sunrise in the hot spring water.
Maple.
Beppu is a famous hot spring town in Oita, Kyushu. Because of the sea, it is more than a far-reaching Yufuyuan. All the rooms in Chaoshuis Qinghai are facing the sea, and there is a private soup in the room, and there is a large bath on the first floor and the top floor. With so many bathing facilities, guests can spend a lot of time at the hotel and spend a lot of money on the room. Private soup provides convenience for intimate couples. I prefer big baths, wide, comfortable, few people, and comfortable. The
hot spring hotel attracts guests, on the one hand, the exquisite details of various details, such as the illustration art in front of the elevator, the inscription "Wuling Taoyuan" on the wall at the end of the corridor, or the wide view of the room and the traditional tatami. On the other hand, the infinite nostalgia is the atmosphere of the home.

Japan's TOP hot spring town, traditional Japanese accommodation experience!
Oita Prefecture's Beppu was the last stop on our Kyushu trip. Despite the rain, we enjoyed a rare immersive traditional hot spring journey during our brief overnight stay at this hotel.
👉🏻Hoshino Resorts KAI Beppu
⭕Oita Prefecture is truly Japan's number one hot spring prefecture, leading by a large margin in the number of hot springs. Beppu is a representative of this, where the entire city is shrouded in the magical sight of steaming hot spring mists, and it's said that you haven't really been to Beppu if you haven't experienced the hot springs.
⭕The hotel is designed in a traditional Japanese style, extensively using wood and bamboo decorations, full of traditional feel. The public area is restored to the appearance of past hot spring streets. At night, when the lights are on, playing traditional games, if you get hungry, you can cook a bowl of hellishly spicy ramen, taste hot spring eggs, Usuki pancakes, giving a sense of time travel back to the past.
⭕What is astonishing is that each of the 70 rooms in the hotel is a sea-view room! The magnificent view of Beppu Bay is unobstructed. The rooms are decorated in a 'persimmon color', which is calm and classic, inspired by the color of the Blood Pond Hell hot spring, one of Beppu's eight major hells.
⭕It's not just the hot springs, the hotel's meals are also a supreme enjoyment. The kaiseki cuisine is full of ceremonial sense, Ise lobster sashimi, Wagyu shabu-shabu, Oita Prefecture's special citrus... It's just too delicious!
⭕Each KAI has 'local pleasure' activities, and in KAI Beppu, there is a special performance. The 'Yutogi Pot Band' plays cheerful rhythms with various hot spring pots and hot spring water, quite lively.
⭕As a Japanese hot spring ryokan brand under the Hoshino Resorts group, 'KAI' is located in various hot spring resorts throughout Japan, each with its own characteristics, and is very worth experiencing!
📍Address: 2-14-29 Kitahama, Beppu
