#tripaway The Obersee hike is a beautiful hike with great views. It requires a bit of planning to anticipate the ferry schedules, but the scenery is well worth it, with the beautiful, calm, reflective lakes and the two famous boathouses at either end of the Obersee.
You'll need a ferry ticket round-trip from Königssee Seelände to Salet. The ferry runs year round, though the hours are limited during the winter season and the timetable is weather-permitting. Note that the ferry ticket allows you to split up your journey by stopping at St. Bartholomä.
The hike begins from the Salet ferry station at the southern end of the Königssee. Follow the yellow sign, and after only 10 minutes you will reach the western end of the Obersee. The first of the boathouses is located here. Up to this point the trail is a wide, flat gravel path.
From here you can continue another 1.3 miles to the Fischunkelalm, which is a small restaurant that sells cheese, soft drinks, and schnapps(!). The trail is rocky in a few spots, but it is quite safe. The second boathouse is also located here. Expect to wait in line to photograph it on a nice day if you don't want other people in your photos. At Fischunkelalm, there is a sign directing you "Zum Wasserfall" - toward the waterfall. It's an additional 0.8 miles or so each way, and though you can see the waterfall from the restaurant, there are better views from up close. You will likely also encounter cows along the way. When you reach the waterfall, you can turn around and head back on the same trail.
Imagine a place where you just can´t stop being amazed about the traditional buildings and mountain scenery? Go visit Berchtesgaden!

This cave underneath the German mountain called Watzmann emerges after every winter due to the downgliding snow. It´s a thrilling and epic experience if you dare to enter the cave in spring.
Another part of German that is very different is Konigssee, this place is unique. It remind me a little bit of switzerland architecture but the air quality is exactly like switzerland. The water is clean, the city pretty quiet. Surrounded by the beautiful lake, paying a visit here should worth your time. #merrychristmas
The Magic Forest is located in the Ramsau area, between the Houhu and Marx canyons. It was formed between 3500 and 4000 years ago and covers an area of about 0.75 square kilometers. Nowadays, you can travel through the forest through hiking. The forest trails follow the tributaries of the Houhu Lake, and the streams are full of birds and flowers, which are suitable for walking. The enchanted forest was named after the 1920s and 1930s. Due to its landslide scenery, forests and streams, it created a romantic atmosphere. Later, it gradually developed into a famous tourist attraction, and there was a tourist introduction card that simulates a drawing board. There are many hiking routes in the
magical forest. The most common and classic is to start from Houhu, then enter and cross the magical forest, follow the signs to the Ramsau Kirche stop and end at Ramsau's church. The self-driving partner can take bus 846 from the chapel to the back lake, and the lake is the terminal. After the lake, take the car and leave. The reason why the back lake is recommended as a starting point for hiking is that most people start from the Ramsau church because it can save energy by going downhill all the way. The whole journey takes about two hours.
There is another route that we chose on the day. After entering the magical forest, we followed the rund um den hintersee signpost to the direction. Close to the lake, through a small part of the magic forest, around the lake and then to the starting point of the previous parking, the whole journey is expected to be 45 minutes to 1 hour. This is a compromise for us who travel to the chapel because of the inconvenience of rain, and want to experience the magic forest walk.
The enchanted forest has the same magical power as its name. The towering old trees, the misty mist, the green moss, the meandering stream, except that we did not encounter a tourist all the way, always felt that the next second would meet the little red riding hat hiding deep in the woods. Germany's hiking routes are very mature, and every time you walk, there will be signs and display boards to tell you how long it will take you to complete the journey. The whole road is gentle and spacious, and compared with the hiking route on the lake yesterday, it can be considered a smooth road.
The forest is like a big oxygen bar, people can't help but take a deep breath. If at home, such a scenery must be overcrowded, how can we still enjoy such tranquility and relaxation? So, come to Ramsau, don't miss it.
Houhu is located to the west of Berchtesgaden. The Houhu Lake is a dammed lake caused by landslides. The scenery is definitely not lost to the lake. The lake is open and clear, and it takes about an hour to walk around. When the weather is good, local people can row and swim in the lake. It is quiet and warm, and the blue sky and the green hills reflect each other. The cute wild duck will walk to your side to play, making people feel like they are in the peach blossom source. The scenery after the winter lake is frozen is also very moving.
Houhu is also an ideal place to stay in Ramsau. The lakeside is right in front of the lake. It is convenient to take photos of sunrise and sunset. The Houhu Lake is located at the entrance of the magic forest and is very convenient for hiking. It is very quiet, not like a tourist, more like a place to go on holiday.
Compared to King Lake, which has long been famous, Houhu is like a small family in the deep, and many people who visited the King Lake even ignored her directly. She does not have the high height of obersee, but her beauty is not inferior. There is a soft and quiet feeling that makes you feel particularly comfortable.
The level of the lake is like a mirror, the lake is clear and clear, and the distant mountains are like dreams. They are hidden by the clouds, as if they are suspended in the air, and the mirage is as ethereal as the illusion. From a certain perspective, it is more artistic than King Lake.
Parking: There is a public parking lot P5 by the lake. There is a discount card for 4 hours and 2 Euros. There is no discount for 4 hours and 4 Euros. After the lake is not big, even if you add magic forest for 4 hours, it is enough.
When I came to Ramsau, I would recommend staying in the chapel (town center). It is convenient to eat and the scenery is good. Or on the hintersee side, the lake in the morning is very charming, just at the entrance to the magical forest, convenient for hiking. And this hotel is in the middle of the mountain, lonely on the side of the mountain, longly to my unbelievable, more incredible is actually encountered in this place Chinese and still quite a lot. If it is not self-driving, it is not recommended. The
Beshof Alpine Hotel looks like the smallest room in the room (smaller than the photo), the two boxes are stretched out in the room and the bathroom is small. No way, when I booked Ramsau, I was the only one left. The view of the hotel is very good, invincible mountain view, it should be awesome when it encounters snow or fine weather. Unfortunately, the two days we stayed in the rainy weather, did not take pictures. The hotel's own restaurant is the best value for us in the restaurant we eat all the time, with free parking. After checking in, take the travel discount card from the front desk and check in.
The hotel's own restaurant, the business is surprisingly good. Although the restaurant is not large, the waiter has only one aunt-level, so it takes a lot of patience to order food and other dishes.
Main course, order roast turkey with tomato sauce and potato cake. Chicken chops have always been my favorite. This house is also wrapped in a circle of similar seeds of melon seeds, which is particularly fragrant. The side dish is no longer a single dumpling, the sauce of the small tomato is sour and sweet, and the rice cake is delicious. This dish is right~ too much for my taste!
husband ordered roast pork and mashed potatoes, according to him, it is also delicious. After eating our consistent evaluation of this restaurant, it is a good conscience! Because not only the volume is good, the price is not expensive, the staple food is generally more than 10 euros. If you dont live here, you can come and eat if you go to the hintersee.
Most hotels near Kings Lake offer travel discount cards, you can enjoy free bus rides, half price for parking lots and more. Remember to ask the front desk staff when you check in!
Berchtesgaden is located in the southeast corner of Germany, about 160 km from Munich, 20 km from Salzburg, Austria, and has a population of about 8,000. Berchtesgaden established a national park in 1978, including the clear lake of the lake and the second peak of the Watzmann Mountains in Germany. Berchtesgaden is also known as Hitlers Eagles Nest. There is a palace in the city of Berchtesgaden, which records the history of the city for 700 years. The adjacent churches of St. Peter and St. John belong to late Gothic architecture, while some have Romanesque and early Gothic architecture. There is a tourist information service in the centre of Berchtesgaden, not far from the palace.
Maybe I have visited too many interesting towns before, fairy tales into Rothenburg, clean as Dinkelsbill, ease and peace like Fussen, with these beads in front, Bechtesgaden in front of me is really mediocre some. If it is not convenient to abandon Ramsau to eat and buy, it is not necessary to visit it purely for sightseeing.
Bavaria's murals are everywhere, and this is the gospel of patients with myopia. Appreciating the murals depicted on each building is the only fun we have when we are hanging out here. The place is not big, we often stroll around the border of the old city. There are not many shops to visit, and there are no restaurants at the dinner. We both strolled around the corner of the city center. . .
This street in front of the church is the main road here. There are daily commercial miller and supermarket rewe. Buying daily necessities should not be a problem here.
Bechtersgarden is a mountain town. Although it is far less than my big Chongqing, but for the first time, the three-dimensional sense is still very easy to go wrong. . The on-street parking space in the city is very tight. I found an underground garage near the information center. The area below is very large. It is estimated that there are several streets. The specific location refers to the positioning of P8.
The church of St. Bartholomew was built in 1134 and is the symbol of Kings Lake. Located on the Hirschau peninsula on the west bank of the middle of Kings Lake, it can only be reached by boat or long journey. This church church originated in the 12th century and has become a Baroque style since the 16th century. Small and chic, famous for its special shape, the red round dome is onion. The church was named after the disciple of St. Bartholomew, a protector of the Alpine farmers and milkman, who had his statue in the church. The Watzmann peak behind the church is the second highest in Germany with a height of 2,713 meters.
Compared to the non-human fireworks on the lake, the fireworks of the St. Bartholomew station made us feel very practical. After lunch, tease the wild ducks by the lake and enjoy the rare relaxation of the journey. In addition to churches and restaurants, St. Bartholomew has many routes for walking. If you just want to roast fish to go in a hurry, it is a pity that the scenery like a 5A national park. In the autumn, the king's lake has turned over the color palette like nature, and it has a thick fog. It is full of pure colors. Red maple leaves and turquoise lakes, the first time I feel red and green is so harmonious!
Afternoon turn completely, the value of the onion head church at this time has finally returned to normal level. Like the Ramsau Chapel, it also has no special features, but it wins the right position and can play a finishing touch in the picture. In the same way, there is the chapel in Hallstatt.
[Other tips from Kings Lake]
1) There are coupons behind the tickets for Kings Lake. We were 50% off McDonald's discount coupons. Don't waste if you need it.
2) There seems to be no public toilet in the St. Bartholomew station. We went to the restaurant.
3) The best location to shoot St. Bartholomew's church is still on board. With a little lake water, you can create the feeling of "the small chapel by the lake".
