A friend of mine brought me to this place and it was a surprise. We were sitting in front of the grill and we saw how the cook prepared everything. He was very friendly and answering our questions about his cooking. I recommend not to sit on a table, try to sit in front of the grill where you can enjoy how the cook does the grilling.
YENI ADANA GRILLHAUS: several times I have eaten at this restaurant. The food is fresh, well done, served appetizing. Very good starters: everything fresh, seasoned with authentic spices. For main course I recommend all things which are served with grilled: The lamb is masterful! Perfect composition of flavors, tasty and enjoying eyes. The affordable price: starters from 3.50 EU, main dishes from 8,50 EU I highly recommend!
This place is totally different from the ordinary turkish junk food you may encounter in turkish neighborhoods across Europe. Windows are open to an enormous grill, you can sit next to the grill and enjoy the view to the kitchen. Hummous and eggplant caviar were perfect, we also had wonderful set of mix grilled meat, spicy and tasty. Local turks often come to the place and it can be crowded but the time waiting is not too long. It makes me want to travel to Turkey!
Went here one evening and sat outside to eat, we would have sat in and observed them cooking on the open grill but it was too warm. Outside however we were at a comfortable temperature and entertained by some guys singing across the road. The food itself was a bit pricier than I'd imagined but it was the best lamb kofta I'd ever tasted. The br ad and salad accompaniment was also very tasty and we ended up having 2 baskets of bread. The person serving us was really friendly and happy to help us, we even got chatting to some locals who also raved about the place which is always a good sign. One thing worth mentioning which has nothing to do with the restaurant is that if you get off at gorlitzer park station to come here you will probably get people trying to sell you drugs, just ignore them and carry on
...this place was THE grillhouse of berlin......there was, just on the entrace, the big bbq grill, the interior design was straight from the 70's,the meat was ridicously tasty for a fraction of the price u pay now a day....thanx to the gentrification in kreuzberg, the place it's lost his primary mission(wich was to feed berlin with his tasty lamm chop),and toay it's ONLY focused on making profit with the tourist.i would not recommend anymore.
