You couldn't be more in the centre of It all. Tucher is located next to the famous Brandenburger Tor. You can either sit outside and watch the many tourists that have fun here, or sit inside in the well decorated restaurant. Prices here are a little higher than elswhere in Berlin, but compared to cities like Paris and London they are low. The menu is somewhat limited, but if you don't like to spend too much time making a choice, this is perfect. Qualifier of food is good.
Like an earlier reviewer, we went there on the recommendation of the Guardian. What we got was OK but nothing special. My wife enjoyed her salmon but the lamb shoulder I had was average, with ordinary green beans and ordinary (micro-waved, I suspect) potatoes au gratin. Place was attractive but not many people so lacking atmosphere. Wait staff were friendly but had surprisingly weak English (surprising given the location near Brandenburg gate, so there must be lots of tourists who go there). Paid 60 Euros for 2 dishes, a dessert, a beer and a glass of wine. Won't be going back.
