Good for learning history

It is very suitable for learning history, especially about the city of Chiba. There is a story of coal mine, and the traditional people like the Ainu people are told inside here.
Next to Bibai City Hall. The number of parking lots is limited to several or staff only. Admission fee 200 yen. The development and transition of coal mines are told in the peak population 9 10,000 → Now 2 10,000. Dark lighting in the hall. It is not certain whether the theme is power saving measures due to the impact of the earthquake or coal mines. I feel that there was no prohibition mark in particular.
JR I stopped by for a walk around Bibai Station. It was a feeling that there were not many people coming. I was able to visit slowly. The situation of each coal mine and what was used in coal mines were exhibited and learned 〇
It's an excellent facility to learn about the history of coal mines.

In Hokkaido, there is a town that flourished in coal mines called Color 々, and there are many historical museums that can glimpse the situation at that time even after the closing of the mountain, but I think this Bibai local historical museum is excellent. The building is surrounded by a dim atmosphere and has a layout that looks like the inside of the coal mine. While photographs of the cityscape showing the bustle of the prosperous era were proudly exhibited, the description of the history of the accident inside the coal mine was often heartbreaking. Also, ...
I think the layout is good with a lot of exhibits and 、 easy to understand. I was surprised that the population exceeded 90,000 at the height of the coal mining industry. I also learned that there was a historical fact of 、 々 who lost many lives due to the disaster. I think that something that must be known to nurture local love is left here as 、 historical fact.
