Bintan Island, also called Negeri Segantang Lada, is an Indonesian island. It is the largest island in the Riau Archipelago, and its largest city, Tanjung Pinang, is located in the island's southwest. Because of its location near the equator, Bintan Island gets plentiful sunshine all year round. The ocean water here is clear and light blue. The beach is white and clean, and the marine ecosystem is rich.
Situated just about an hour's ferry ride away from Singapore or Johor Bahru in Malaysia, as well as its neighboring Batam Island, Bintan is the largest island in the Riau Islands province and one that offers the perfect getaway with its high-end resorts, world-class golf courses, and refreshing coastal atmosphere. Tanjung Pinang at the south western coast of the island is the capital city of the Riau Islands Province. The city includes a number of historical sites such as Senggarang, the unique village on stilts and a large Buddhist temple near the airport known as the Maritria temple.

You can go onto a golf course or go on the Bintan Island Eco Adventure Tour to learn the old fishing skills from the villagers or ride a boat through the rain forest.
There are seven Sumatra elephants in Bintan Elephant Park. The elephants are trained to perform and engage with visitors. You can have the opportunity to get up close with them, enjoy the fun of riding elephants in the woods, and even feed them. One of the highlights would be to see them dance with disco music and do acrobatics.
