OMG the food! Best pasta we have ever eaten. There is no doubt that Bologna is the culinary capital of Italy. What a great, friendly staff and nice palazzo setting. Order any of the home made pastas and you will not be disappointed. Really not expensive for what you get. We ordered anti pasti, first and secound course, a bottle of proseco and dessert plus tip for 50&euro; per person.

We loved this restaurant and may try to find time to come again on this vacations. Excellent variety and quality of the steak. My sons and husband thought this was one of the best steaks they have ever had. Our waiter was excellent at showing us the meats and explaining the differences.

We came across this lovely restaurant by chance whilst exploring the city of Bologna. It is a bit off the normal tourist route and can be easily passed by. The restaurant is located down stairs in an old wine cellar. It is old but has a terrific authentic atmosphere and well worth a visit for this experience alone. There is a good choice of excellent Italian food and wine and seems to be popular with locals as well as tourists. The staff were helpful and friendly and seemed genuinely pleased to have your visit. We had lunch which cost about the same as other restaurants in the historic old town. Very well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed I&#39;m sure.

We were worried we would not find a convenient restaurant open on a Sunday night. Our hotel suggested this and made a reservation for us. Interesting interior with lots of history. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots to look at - eg a large ham from which servings were cut.

After arriving late into Bologna and no dinner reservation at our preferred restaurant we head over to Osteria de Poeti. We first visited here in 2013, nothing has changed, very charming restaurant, attentive and friendly service and a nice atmosphere, luckily they could accommodate the two of us. We shared an antipasto plate of prosciutto and artichokes which was a nice way to start with our bottle of local organic wine, Pignoletto (frizzante), recommended by the wait staff. A basket of bread was brought to the table, we don&#39;t know if it is free until we pay the bill, six euros, we should have asked. Our mains were fairly ordinary, my pork medallions were over cooked served in a very salty wine infused gravy. We decline on dessert and before the bill arrives a plate of sweets is placed on our table, they are free. The evening otherwise was very pleasant, it did appear that our section of the restaurant was full of English speaking guests, unfortunately there was one particular lady that loved the sound of her own voice and it resonated off the rock walls and into everyone&#39;s ears!
