We did the Rose wine tasting on the terrace with Paul. He is so knowledgeable about the wines and aptly describes the region, the wine and the foods they pair with! If you want to spend a Saturday afternoon in the sun, overlooking the water with great wines and foods to match Miel is the place to go. This is our favorite summertime escape!
When first walking into Miel it seemed a bit random as there were hostesses conversing with each other. So we waited for them to finish their Saturday night conversation to greet and seat us. Our server was a bit slow to greet us. So we went to the buffet to dish up our food. When we returned our server was there to take our drink order. Drinks came half way through our meal. The selection of breakfast foods were reasonably stocked and expected for a traditional brunch. Sausages were very dry and hard - maybe sitting on the buffet brunch a bit too long? Omelette station was a huge plus and we enjoyed it immensely! It was the saving grace to the average.
Do you want to remove yourself from the crowd...? Do you want to set yourself apart from the everyday dining experience...? Are you looking for a place that is romantic elegant special and exquistie, yet you could also have a business dinner reserved here... Well you came to the right place!!! Take it from me, I've been to many cities in America and 11 cities in Europe, and this place is at the top. There is only one restaurant that I can say is better but you'd have to travel to Paris to experience that. This is the first time I've ever written a review of any restaurant I've been to. I have never written a review before on trip advisor, yelp, or opentable, but I feel compelled to do so for this place. I took my wife here for her birthday on a Tuesday evening. The whole atmosphere was just right. Our hostess, waiter, and server were more than nice. My wife received a compilmentary glass of champagne and two "Happy Birthday" desserts. The first one was a mistake because they served it accidently before our entrees, but who cares!!! Dessert before your meal is how life should be!!! Best food we've ever had! I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Went there for an anniversary dinner. Had a reservation, room was not busy when we arrived. But no hostess in sight for some time, so a waiter seated us. Menu looked good but meal was way overcooked (lamb). Waiter had no waiter skills; he seemed befuddled the whole time. Hotel knew it was our anniversary but that got us no special consideration - not even "happy anniversary" wishes. Had to ask for bread and water. Breakfast the next morning was a bit better. Lots of business people seated around us. Food was fine.
