The crab cakes that used to be so delicious, full of big lumps of crabmeat were pasty and bland the last two times we ordered them. And the the vegetable tart has lost it&#39;s bright flavor and crispiness. If you are going to eat here, stick to the burger. It&#39;s still very good and about the best thing on the menu (we have tried almost everything recently.)

New American Cafe

This pub isn&#39;t amazing- but it sure is a great tradition! I spent many nights here with friends during college, and really enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, cheap pitchers of beer, etc. We also came here after graduation, and I always stop in every time I&#39;m back in Boston. During the day I would say it&#39;s family friendly, but at night it&#39;s mostly college students. Overall a fun, inexpensive little place.

Stop in when I&#39;m in the area. Good subs, freshly prepared. It&#39;s a bar, a bit dark, but that&#39;s par the course.
