Spectacular view of the dam and the valley. I’ve visited twice: once in the fall and once in the summer. I recommend avoiding visiting during the summer as it can get very hot 30+ Celsius in the desert climate. Autumn time is one of the best times to visit this place!

Hoover Dam is a key project for the comprehensive development of water resources in the Colorado River. It is located in the Black Gorge, the border between Nevada and Arizona, and has comprehensive benefits such as flood control, irrigation, power generation, shipping and water supply. The dam is a concrete gravity arch dam, the dam height 221.4m, the dam formed by the reservoir is called Lake Meade, the total storage capacity 348.5 billion cubic meters, the power station installed capacity was 1.34 million kW, has been expanded to 2.08 million kW, planned to reach 245.2 million kW. The construction started in 1931 year 4 month, and it was completed in 1936 year 3 month, and the first unit was officially produced in 1936 year 10. The Hoover Dam is located on the interstate 93 highway across Arizona and Nevada, and there is an hour difference between Arizona and Nevada, so there is a clock at each end to facilitate the passage. It is about 40 kilometers southeast from Las Vegas. The project is huge, and it has a great role in the development of industry and agriculture. So it has an important position in the world's water conservancy project. The Hoover Dam, which was built at a cost of money and manpower, was completed and put into use in 1936. It is an arch-type gravity man-made concrete dam. The dam is 220 meters high, 200 meters wide at the bottom, 14 meters wide at the top and 377 meters long at the levee. Such a huge dam is rare in the world. The Colorado River, once the deepest and most rapid river in the United States, now sloshes like a tame beast.

Nice place, especially after Transformers, has a lot of attraction! There are many things to watch, especially the internal tour, the explanation is very detailed and very open! There is a parking building, which is more convenient for parking. There is a service center next to the parking lot and a restaurant. The food inside is also very delicious, it is worth a try! recommend
The dams built in the 1930s are well worth a look
