There's so much more to chocolate than I realized. The historic component--the discovery of the New World and with it cacao--is discussed in the museum exhibits. The various components of chocolate--cacao butter, cacao powder--can be sampled along with different types of chocolate. Another part of the museum details Belgium's role in all of this, particularly the invention of the praline. The highlight is a demonstration of how pralines are made.

Haven't been there yet
Charming small museum dedicated to chocolate that includes a short demonstration and samples. I learned a lot about chocolate during the demonstration and was surprised as to how the process works. Recommended for children and chocolate lovers alike.
Belgium is famous for chocolate, so going to the chocolate museum is a must, right? Well, sadly no. This museum is poorly designed, and I would say infantile. The exhibits are meager and uninspired. I would recommend not bothering with the museum and instead just going to a chocolate store and buying and tasting chocolate instead.
It is a very special museum. There is no admission fee when you enter. You can see different chocolate making tools and know the process of making chocolate. It displays all kinds of old machines and utensils. It turns out that making chocolate is so particular.
