If you are at the castle in Budapest, this place just behind the Eugene of Savoy equestrian statue is the ideal one for a snack, coffee or quick lunch. Wonderful location, staff ok even if very busy, food and servings good. A bit on the pricey side, but look at where it is!
Variety of menu was amazing ...so if hungry or thirsty , this is the place. Try their ice cream or desserts ---a great variety to choose from. No rest room there but the waiter will give you a ticket for free to go next door at the museum and use THEIR facilities there. Other places one has to pay 200 huf or nearly 1 euro per person in local toilettes.
We had great service and AMAZING AFTERNOON COFFEE AND CAKE! We thought that the location would be so touristy that the food would be bad....but we were surprised and really enjoyed the food and the service. The staff even tried to help us learn to speak Hungarian!
The restaurant is located next to the main entrance of Buda castle, it has advantage place to see the down town of pest city. I tried the package goulash soup and strudel. This is my first time to eat and to taste the famous Hungarian Goulash soup and strudel. And it was quite delicious, however in my personal opinion the goulash soup portion only contain a few of slice of meat. And for those who need big portion to eat would not be enough. Then, for dessert i chose the cheese strudel and it was awesome. The weakness of the restaurant is it is only served in terrace (outdoor) and by the time i had visited, the weather so windy and could not too enjoy the soup because it was easily getting cold.
