OK let's start by putting some perspective, this is not Kangnam-gu, we are in Hungary... Having been to Korea several times and having tried all Korean restaurants in Budapest, I can say without a doubt that this one is my favorite. I have been many times to Seoul House and the beef classics are always very nice: Bulgogi and Kalbi. Rice perfectly cooked and nice Kimchi. The waiter is always very nice as well. If you are looking for nice Korean food in Budapest, I recommend Seoul house, however I cannot confirm all dishes are marvelous. The deco could be refreshed as it seems it didn't change for decades but at the end of the day, I'm going there for the food!
As i'm Korean, i can tell surely whether the restraurant is REAL Korean style or not. However this place made me satisfying about the food especially the raw beef bibimbab and yookgaejang! Side dishes were good as well. Thank you for supplying warm dishes. The only thing special was they asked us to give the service tip. we paid with pleasure though.
Authentic Korean restaurant just off the Chain Bridge with a decor that does not seem to have changed since it opened over 20 years ago. My partner is Korean so we are very familiar with Korean food, however, based on previous experiences of Korean food in Budapest did not go with too high hopes. Pleasantly surprised with some of the dishes, especially the beef pancakes which normally you would get with seafood but flavour was great. Kimchi jiggy tasted a bit too fatty from the pork and the Kimchi itself in the side dishes was way too mature for a side dish. We had read on trip advisor not to expect the staff to smile, however, the staff were very attentive and welcoming - even if there was only the hint of a smile. It was not a very busy restaurant and whilst we had made a reservation, not sure how often this would be required. They also do Korean barbecue where you can barbecue traditionally at your table, however, will leave that to next time. Gave an Average rating but to be honest probably the best we have tried to date in Budapest. Only small bottles of beer (Dreher or Gosser) but they were cold and you can always have a Sojo to warm your heart in the winter months.
Went there with friends. We arrived around 6, no customer at time. However the waiter is quite unfriendly and inpatient(with no customer at all). The food is actually not too bad with friendly service will be big plus
This restaurant is at a good location. We went there when they were about to close for lunch break and we actually got in as the last guests for lunch time. So many guests stopped by and was declined seats after we went in because they stopped accepting new guest. The food was horrible though. They were so salty and we couldnt finished it. The staffs were also rude because they wanted to take break. Wouldnt visit this place again.
