The St. Stephen’s Basilica is located on the Pest side of Budapest, Hungary. Although the church is two blocks away from the Danube from a distance, it can be far away from the mountain on the Buda side due to its majestic figure. See the church on the opposite bank. Its popularity is slightly lower than that of Matthias Church, and is different from Matthias Church in Gothic style. The church is in Baroque style and its interior decoration is also very distinctive.
New year's eve in this beauty!
Another example of stunning architecture in this amazing city. Definitely worth a visit!
The largest church in the city and the country can receive about 8,000 worshipers. Besides the beautiful interior and the amazing view from its dome, this church is a keeper of an unusual relic – the right hand of their first king Stephen. From the top of the dome, you can have stunning views of the city! Always remember to dress respectfully and be quiet when visiting the church.
A beautiful basilica, donate upon entering. Don't miss relics and beautiful windows.
