It is estimated that most people will see the name Toledo will be stranger, I want to tell you, in fact, this ancient city can be amazing! It used to be the capital of Spain. Later, Spain moved to Madrid, but Toledos religious status remains the same. It is still the residence of the Archbishop of Spain. There are more than 70 large-scale ancient buildings such as Gothic, Moorish, Baroque and neo-classical churches, monasteries, monasteries, royal palaces, city walls, museums, etc., with different shapes and brilliance.

It is a gathering place for Christianity, Islam and Judaism. It is therefore known as the Three Cultures city. Mudejar art, the architecture of the Golden Age of Spain, have been developed here, and have had a major impact on the development of Gothic art and Renaissance art. Her streets and plazas have preserved centuries of secrets. The buildings in the ancient city are surrounded by walls. The various elements of the medieval style and the pair of treasures of Cervantes are very popular. It takes just over an hour to get to the bus from Plaza Eliptica on the L6 line in Madrid. There is also a nun's pastry shop in the home network. If you are interested, you can try it.
The ancient city of Toledo is not like the prosperity of Western Europe, but it is very Eastern European.
In the retro-based Spanish colours, the orange and white houses of Toledo make people feel like they have entered the last century.
The ancient city of the past, even though it is no longer the capital, the strong religious status of more than 2,000 years remains the same.

Toledo Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
A Day in Toledo
Toledo is a recommended day-trip destination for those who go to Madrid. It’s only an hour-train away from Atocha station in central Madrid and there are trains almost every hour. The train ticket can be under €20 depending what class you would like to sit.
If you plan to walk around the ancient city, remember to bring your hat/ umbrella / sunscreen if you’re worried about getting freckles or tanned because there is not much shade or cover in the city unless you stay indoor. I did not have anything and walked under the sun for 6 hours… and my skin needs a lot of first-aid afterwards.
Recommended to have a walking tour both in the centre where all the shops are and also up the hills and lookouts. Also there are a few museums if you fancy learning more about the local cultures. Some local musicians will play traditional Toledo music at the central plaza outside the McDonald’s there at noon if you happen to be there around that time. #celebratewithtrip #toledo #ancientcity
Walking tour in old Spanish capital Toledo
Once you step on this side of the Spanish land, you feel like you have returned to medieval time - there are old buildings, fortresses, decoration and souvenirs of armours, swords and ancient calligraphy, and a place to show a movie of how the town developed over the years. It’s quiet and pleasant. Good escape from the busy city centre! #walkingtour #oldtown #spain
Toledo-old Spanish town with rich culture

pizza lovers get closer to COMES PIZZERIA☺
it's location is in a hidden alley way. but when you Comes in... wow.. the interesting place with a nice vibe. The staff are super friendly and also helpful with checking for allergens. They speak English and Spanish, very friendly and service it's good.the colorful space for pizzas, burgers, tapas & burritos, with a vegetarian selection also. the pizza was very fantastic that it’s thin crust with a solid undercarriage.
They had some locally made liquors which seems interesting to try. I had a home made lemonade with mint and ginger which was really refreshing after a long walk under the heat of Toledo.
I would Comes Here again if there any chance visiting toledo again.#happytrip #foodie #pizzalover #toledo #spaintravel

The Toledo Cathedral is definitely worth a visit inside!
As the residence of the Cardinal, the Toledo Cathedral is indeed worth a visit, especially the altar, choir, and the oratories added in the 17th and 18th centuries, each place reflects the characteristics of splendor and exquisite complexity. Among the churches in Spain, its interior delicacy is second to none.
Admission: 12 euros
Enter through the side door, walk from right to left in a circle, you can see the tabernacle, the main hall, the main altar, the choir, the oratories, etc., remember not to miss the religious painting exhibition hall featuring works by El Greco and many medieval painters, which includes precious paintings such as 'The Disrobing of Christ' and 'The Tears of Saint Peter'.

Miss the wind and light of Spain, the final cloud journey,
Looking forward to the moment of departure again, come earlier!
🌿🌿🌿
The ancient city of Toledo, located 70 kilometers away from Madrid,
The magnificent and solemn Toledo Cathedral is truly breathtaking.
The church was first built in 1247,
It took more than 200 years to complete, finally finished in 1493.
It is very large in scale, with a lot of highlights to see.
Took too many photos, so let's talk about it in two parts.
The most unmissable:
1️⃣Glorious Altar
Like an altar towering into prison,
One by one, stories tell the life of Jesus,
Brilliant and luxurious, shining brightly.
The statue of the Virgin Mary and angels behind the altar,
Decorated with pure gold on white marble, it is as beautiful as a dream.
There are too many pictures, will write the next post in 2️⃣3️⃣.
Toledo Cathedral
Cathedral of Toledo Cathedral of Toledo
Spain's second-ranked cathedral, one of the world's largest Catholic churches, the Cathedral of Toledo, is the culmination of Gothic art. Toledo Cathedral was the first cathedral of the Spanish parliament's main parish at that time. It has a super high religious status and is the best historical witness. The hh/main altar is very eye-catching. Five groups of colored pine sculptures reflecting the life of Jesus are occupied. The entire wall of the altar, the sculptures are vivid and vivid, the sacred body above the holy platform is a precious and very religious artifact
Transparente altarpiece. The back of the main altar is the baroque chapel
part of the arch is removed. , converted into a lighting window, and then gradually down to form the altar body with engraving. Under the light of the top light, the angels and other images made of marble, copper, etc. on the altar seem to completely overcome the shackles of gravity, such as floating clouds. The altar of Toledo Cathedral is known as "the eighth wonder of the world"
I have seen many churches in the world, but when I walked into the Cathedral of Toledo, I was shocked and unconsciously surprised. The main altar carved 15 reliefs depicting the life of Jesus with colorful and gold wood carvings, familiar Bible stories. The face behind the main altar is even more stunned by me. The clever transparent translucent vault is used to illuminate the baroque altar made of marble, jasper and bronze, gilded with natural light. The whole Gothic architecture is in stark contrast, and the technique of borrowing light is also fascinating, adding a sacred light. The angels are so proud of the golden wings, such as the gold saint of Sagittarius, which makes me particularly like it! The church also houses works by masters such as Titian and Raphael. It is worthy of the headquarters of the Spanish Catholic Church, one of the three cathedrals of Spain. Worship!

What a beautiful and charming hotel!
The location is superb ( very close to the Toledo Cathedral which is the Grandest Church in Spain as well as many other tourist treasures)
The hotel is an architectural gem set in a renovated 17 century bakery with all of its charm yet updated and exceeding expectations.
The staff is very helpful which only adds to one unforgettable stay. ( I have travelled extensively through Eurpope and USA and this one will remain in my memory!)
