OK shrine with some nice cherry blossoms
This shrine has an interesting looking roof line and an attached cemetery with an overall austere look. However during Cherry Blossom season the placement of just a couple trees makes this shrine stan...
It is said that Nichii opened the mountain in the 15th century, one of the "Nichiren sect head temples" located in the southeast corner of Higashiyama Nijo. The remains of Nichiren are dedicated from Minobu, and it seems that they are gaining popularity because they do not go all the way to Yamanashi Prefecture. There is a fairly large square leading to Dou, which is often used for locations in historical dramas.
It is the head temple of the Nichiren sect, which boasts a history and rank called Nishiminobu.

It is one of the eight main temples of the Nichiren sect Kyoto, but this sect has abolished the head temple branch temple system, and is now called "historic temple" or "former head temple". This temple is particularly high-end and is also called Nishiminobu. Officially, it is called Hokyozan Shohokkein Myodenji Temple. The principal image is Sanposon, the Kaisan is Enkyoin Nichii Shonin, and Rakuchu Hokke 21 Keji. It is not old enough because it is not old enough because it is not old enough because it is not old enough because it belongs to the new sect itself.
When it comes to the statue of Nichiren Shonin, it is often seen in front of the main hall and on the approach, but the statue here stands toward the northwest outside. I suddenly wondered what he was looking at. The precincts are large, but I had the impression that it was dull because many cars were parked as a parking lot. It has a history, one of the eight head temples of the Kyoto Nichiren sect, which was built during the Muromachi period.
It is a temple of the Nichiren sect at the intersection of Higashiyama Nijo, west of Okazaki Park. A statue of Nichiren Shonin stands from the precincts toward the intersection. It seems that it moved to its current location due to a fire in the middle of the Edo period. It is the eight head temples of Kyoto of the Nichiren sect, and the main shrine is very magnificent.
