Jieshi Mountain is located in Changli County, Qinhuangdao, with an altitude of 695 meters. It is a famous mountain for a long time. For more than 2,000 years, emperors of seven generations, including Qin Huang, Han Wu, Tang Zong, and Wei Wu, have climbed mountains to watch the sea, carved stones to record their merits, and now there are some ancient buildings with a long history preserved on the mountain. The main peak of Jieshi Mountain is the top of Sendai, which is 695 meters above sea level. There is a famous temple "Shuiyan Temple" in the mountains. The two characters "Jieshi" carved by the ancients remain on the cliff. Climb to the top of Sendai (15 kilometers away from the sea), overlooking the sea, from the mouth of the Luanhe River to Qinhuangdao Port, from the mouth of the Luanhe River to the sea in the west, and to the Qinhuangdao Port of Shanhaiguan in the east. The sea is boundless, and the sky and the sea are one. The predecessors listed the ten scenic spots of Jieshi Mountain, among which "Jieshi Viewing the Sea" is more spectacular. The other nine are Tianzhu Lingyun, Shuiyan Chunxiao, Shidong Autumn Breeze, West Peak Paiqing, East Peak Towering Green, Longpan Linggu, Fengzhu Xiangluan, Xiahui Zudu, Xianying Canglang. Because the main peak is steep and close to the sea, its location is important. In ancient times, it was included in the famous geographical works "Shan Hai Jing" and "Shangshu·Yugong". Jieshi Mountain is a famous ancient mountain. Although it is outside the Five Mountains, it has the reputation of "Sacred Mountain". Jieshi Mountain has five peaks in the east and west. Dongwufeng Mountain is located on the east side of Sendai Peak. From east to west, the five peaks are Wanghai, Jinxiu, Pingdou, Feilai and Hangyue. West Wufeng Mountain is west of the top of Sendai, and there is a "Han Wen Gong Temple" on the southern mountainside platform to commemorate Han Yu, a writer of the Tang Dynasty. His ancestral home was Changli, Hebei. After his death, he was posthumously named Changlibo, so he was also called Han Changli. From 1908 to 1924, he took refuge in the Han Wen Gong Temple 7 times, and wrote a book about it. He described Jieshi Mountain as "Tianwai Taoyuan" in "Jieshishan Miscellaneous Notes". Now, this is a provincial-level patriotism education base. There is a 5-meter-high white marble statue of Li Dazhao on the Jieshi Ridge to the south of the Han Gong Temple.
