What people are saying:

I am very happy to visit the former residence of Comrade Liu Shaoqi. The scenery here is also very beautiful, Liu Shaoqi’s former residence is located in this beautiful scenery, it can be described as beautiful! The statue of Comrade Liu Shaoqi is 7.1 meters high. It not only symbolizes Liu Shaoqi's 71 years of life, but also symbolizes that Liu Shaoqi has made great contributions to the cause of the party. The only regret is that I did not visit the Comrade Liu Shaoqi Memorial Hall, because I went there on Monday and the memorial hall was closed for one day. In Liu Shaoqi's former residence, I saw the table where Liu Shaoqi used to study, the bedroom where he slept and the room where the village cadre meeting was held, and I felt that the great man would rather be simple but also care about the people's mind. The Huaminglou scenic spot next to it is also very beautiful, and I saw the plane Liu Shaoqi had taken before his death. In Huaming Building, each floor displays photos and profiles of historical celebrities in Hunan Province, such as Wang Fuzhi, Zeng Guofan, Zuo Zongtang, etc. Not only do they know who are from Hunan Province, but they also praise the talents in Hunan Province!

the museum is interesting, but everything else isn't worth the heat

The museum is interesting, if a bit heavy on propaganda. It's also reasonably air conditioned, which in July is a plus. The former residence is a repeat of Mao's former residence, but the grounds ar...
